Parkville leaders consider whether 'slavery' belongs on historical markers
PARKVILLE, Mo. - As Confederate statues have toppled all across the nation in the last few months, city leaders in Parkville also removed a prominent historical marker along a traffic triangle near the downtown business district. But unlike the large statues in the likeness of General Robert E.
Euphuism for slavery: Historical practice that makes liberal heads explode and that they want to erase from history but can't because if they do then they can't keep bitching about it.
ReplyDeletePROBLEM SOLVED!
Ummm....that makes no sense.
DeleteThey weren’t slaves. They were descendants of our current welfare recipients. Fixed it for you.
ReplyDeleteGreatest "Slavers" in order.
ReplyDelete1) The Black people that sold other black people into slavery in Africa ("Roots" is a fuckin lie and Haley is a plagiarist.)
2) Muslims. As far as Distribution of white, brown, red, yellow and black slaves, they are the Super Bowl, undefeated champions of Slavery.
3) The Portuguese. Really Yoeman's work from the little country on the edge of the Iberian Peninsula. They were no where close to the overwhelming numbers of Islamic traders, but they sure gave it a run for the money.
There are your top three, but, go ahead whitey, feel free to hate your self even though only 2% of living Americans have ancestors who owned slaves.
Go ahead, be a "Kool Kid" and send some cash to BLM and put a virtue signaling sign in your front yard.
^^Why haven't you killed yourself chuck?
ReplyDeleteWhat about the Irish?
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteWell as per BLM slavery never happened they have erased history including the people who fought against slavery. They also seem to forget that tons of black people owned slaves not to mention the black people who sold there own families into slavery out of spite.
I say, don't mention slavery again. Especially when the republicans are slapped in the face for shedding blood to free them. We will remember who died to free them and we will never forget what the black people are doing to us today.
So, there wasn't slavery?
ReplyDeleteThe first slave ships were owned by Jews.
ReplyDelete8:07, my nominees are:
ReplyDeleteThe Romans. Enslaved lots of Gauls and Greeks after winning wars against them.
The Vikings. They founded Dublin as a slave market, and made slaving raids all over Europe and even North Africa.
The return of slavery would hold a great deal of good for society as a whole. Removing the unwilling to work from the public dole and making them productive for private good. With a conservative Supreme Court, we can end the Libtard social experiments and make things better like they were for thousands of years.
ReplyDeleteFor the two years before the Civil War (or for all you Southerners, The War Where Our Asses Got Kicked) the second largest Slave Market in the USA was located at Atchison, Kansas.
ReplyDeleteWhen Jim Lane's "Jayhawkers" raided into Missouri, the property they stole, Horses Mules, Livestock, Farm Tools, Clothing, Children's Toys, etc. could be sold anywhere in Kansas, but not the stolen Negroes. The Territorial Government turned a blind eye to the market in Atchison, and that became the point through which the thousands of Slaves were sold into the Southern States, usually into Louisiana, for labor on the Rice Plantations.
Kansas has found a way to make sure this dark period was little known and never mentioned, so it is possible.
Let us embrace slavery and accept it for the wondrous institution it is.
ReplyDelete9:27 Those folks get honorable mention, but the blacks that sold EVERY SINGLE SLAVE THAT EVER GOT PURCHASED IN AFRICA are number 1!!! And the distribution of those slaves, all over the world, hands down, Islam!
ReplyDeleteRechain Django. MAGA
ReplyDelete10:24, no question that Atchison was slaver friendly during those years. But the second largest slave market in the US? Sounds fishy to me. Got authority to back that up?
ReplyDeleteYeah, he read it on the internet 11:00.
ReplyDelete🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
9:04 is right. They keep knocking down statues and canceling any reference to anyone involved in slavery, and soon (none too soon) I will forget about slavery and thing blacks are just whining for nothing. Go ahead. Tear down that Abe Lincoln statue. I can't remember why the man was important any longer...Something about economics of the southern states. Pffft. Doesn't matter. What are reparations for, my fine, black friend?
ReplyDeleteSlavery was the only time in history where there was zero black unemployment.
ReplyDeleteA distinction without a difference.

ReplyDeleteThe problem is the word "slave"? What word should be used?
ReplyDelete@12:49 Call them what they were. Call them "farm machinery".
ReplyDeleteDouble stupid. Slavery is in the past forget it you raciest aholes.
ReplyDeleteI'm confused. Is it racist to remember it, or racist to forget it?
DeleteI am double glad Chuck is back to pick up the slack on TKC.
ReplyDeleteThe paid Demo troll is still trying to poison the pond.
Evil is as evil does.
10:24 i don't doubt the efforts to push slavery into the Kansas territory but you may be overstating it, "second largest slave market" in the nation. remember KS is still a new territory at that time. No way a bigger slave market than New Orleans or Norfolk or Charleston or any souther capitol or railroad town. D.C. was a huge slave market too. Solomon Northup was a free black kidnapped into slavery while in the nation's capitol and his slave pen was within eyesight of the capitol building.
ReplyDeleteas far as removing this monument - gosh why? who asked for it? it wasn't in disrepair and it's not glorifying the past just says it.
the monument to be removed are the ones erected in 1890s 1900s 1910s etc glorifying the traitors who loved slavery more than they loved America and tried to destroy this country in the War for the Union 1861-1865. thanks for the good discussion those of you who aren't idiots here.
You miss the point @2:27, or possibly I didn't make the situation clear.
ReplyDeleteThe "Jayhawker" Raids into Missouri were not anti-slavery forces striking a blow against the evils of Slavery so much as they were "Land Piracy" encouraged by the Territorial Leadership and carried out by armed men who literally stole everything they could from isolated farmsteads.
The Territory profited from a huge economic boost from the sales of the stolen articles, but since the government was nominally "Anti-slavery", these items of "property" could not be sold as publicly as livestock and household goods were, so the Territorial Government turned a blind eye to the auctions that were held weekly in Atchison.
The largest market for slaves was in New Orleans, since the death rate for field workers on the Rice Plantations was horrendous, and according to Foster, almost all of the stolen slaves were bought by speculators for transfer to the New Orleans market.
The number sold through Atchison was in the thousands monthly, the "Jawhawking" was widespread and tremendously profitable, in fact one of the Jayhawkers, William Quantrill (yes the same one), wrote to his brothers in a letter that still exists, that they should come to Kansas and join him, since this "Jayhawking Business" was the most lucrative thing he had ever seen.
