KMBC: Recognize Your Privilege

Program note for tonight as local news attempts to deconstruct the campaign season wave of protest, civil unrest and American racial reckoning.

Read more:

What does being anti-racist mean?

The protests showed the raw anger, hurt and desperation for better relations between the Black community and police. But out of that anger, a conversation has evolved about where we go from here.Dr. Auburn Ellis owns a yoga studio and also holds classes on how to be anti-racist."Being anti-racist is about bringing balance to racism," Ellis said.

Enough of this crap already! Kansas Shitty has already hit the iceberg. Sinking is eminent! Goffy crap like this might make you feel good but it solves NOTHING!

Just a side comment

The reason you don’t see white people go insane when a cop shoots a white, drug addicted thug criminal, is because we don’t see the problem as race. We see it as getting rid of another piece of shit

It means you're making an attempt to show all your social media friends that you're woke and enlightened and on the cutting edge of issues about which you secretly give not a crap

^^^ And making money, he’s a businessman selling his yoga and woke classes duh.

I wanna puke, I have the woke people flu and I’m not sure it’s survivable!

Cops are just as fair with blacks in our area as whites I have seen it. The only time cops have been rough with blacks is when they do something stupid. Michael Brown was GUILTY but yet white people suffered the loss of their careers over that incident. His mother told her cohorts to burn down the town and got by with no charges against her. Racism is at an all time high and you can't blame the people for it. Look at the way the black people have handled things. Look at how black people vote for the very people who hate them and wanted to keep them slaves. So what they do is take freebies over the hatred for them. Do they make sense???? NO THEY DON't. I for one don't want to be around them anymore. Blacks are the racist ones and they are hanging on to something that happened in a different time by different people. I have seen enough to despise them! So save this crap for someone who cares which isn't very many.

Until they understand that just because a "system" has disparate impacts does not mean its racist.

In the white community a piece of shit is in the minority.

Amen. Avoid any woke BS.

How about a special explain BLM and Antifas true beliefs, demands and intentions. That would be journalism not an opinion piece. Add channel 9 to the F--k them list along with the NBA MLB NFL and the national network news. Woke go broke.

I'd speak my mind on this, but my white privilege prevents me because I might hurt a person of color's feelings then I'd lose my job.

I couldn't give a flying shit how I offend. If somebody can't handle it they can either get the hell over it or go to their safe space and color a pretty picture of a unicorn.

Yeah, I have the white privilege to get up and go to work every day and help pay for the black privilege of sitting on your ass and blaming whitey.

Everybody on the face of the earth discriminates in some way about something. It is normal. Most of the discrimination's happen because of experience and some are learned because it is how your parents or associates acted. It is learned behavior. No you can't always unlearn it either. If you bought a new Ford and it broke down and had many flaws you might say "I'll never own a Ford again", and that is reasonable. You might have a Chevy and have no problems so you go buy another Chevy, OK. Or maybe if you are a black person and a white person takes your parking spot, OK, it happens sometimes innocently but well then you just pull out your 9mm and shoot him. Maybe the racist isn't the guy that took the parking spot, maybe you are.

Yoga instructors are the most racist people you will ever meet.

I had a yoga instructor burn a cross in my front yard while riding a horse with a bed sheet on.

I know as I am a person of color who does yoga.

I was working at a bar, the slaughtered lamb, and at the end of my shift i caught a cab. The taxi cab driver was a jamaican man and asked how i was doing. I told him it was my birthday. He said his birthday had just ended a couple hours before. So he turned off the meter drove me up to 130 something/malcom X blvd, went in a storefront & came back out with some weed. He gave it to me and some papers and told me to roll it. He quickly determined i did not know how to do that. He rolled a joint, only let me had two puffs and we said farewell. Tradition & bonding.
Good luck & have fun.

As others have noted here, the blacks are setting themselves back 60 years. I personally know multiple people from different areas of my life that would have been considered “liberals” until this BLM/woke crap went rampant. They are now very put out with blacks in general and a few of them don’t even try to hide it anymore. It makes me wonder how many others are feeling the same way but are too intimidated to say so for fear of retaliation. The blacks definitely need to learn better ways to improve their place in the world.
