Kansas City Streetcar Earns MILLIONS Despite Steep Decline In Ridership

During the pandemic, passengers on the toy train have dropped by more than half and it's clear this smallish fixed rail line is useless without destinations to visit.

And so, federal stimulus is celebrated in hopes of getting this project back on track . . . And resuming the endless hype for an effort that has bolstered the power of taxing districts with little proven economic impact.

“In a notification to congressional offices, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced a $14.2 million award under a program called 'The Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant' to extend the streetcar line a little more than half a mile to the Berkley Riverfront.”

If it costs 14.2 mil to go a half a mile then 50 mil gets you just over a mile and a half, is it me or does anyone else think 64.2 million for two miles of track is a giant waste of taxpayer money? I’m actually surprised the blm crowd, the rent free crowd and the I want more free shit crowd isn’t going after this money. Makes you wonder doesn’t it?

Funny how the city spent over 160 million for the first two miles of track and even the wasteful federal government can get two miles of track built for 64.2 million....... there must’ve been a lot of people paid off during the first two miles of track huh?

only government would throw money down a black hole such as this. only ones who benefit are those working on the project. Long term taxpayers are cheated as usual.

Make sure the thief Quinton Lucas shows you where that money is going. He's already stolen tons from the tax payers.
He says he wants equality but when your back is turned he steals from you even his own people.

12:42 he’s stealing it from the 850 white people he furloughed as reparations for his miserable time as a slave, wait, what? He wasn’t a slave? White people have paid for his entire life of nice homes, cars and education? Really? He’s not very grateful is he.

Yup, Mayor Quinton went to Barstow. I believe he was the only African American in his class, unless you count that fake black professor at GWU.

It's been a winning month for KC.

First we got six new art installations with national coverage at bargain prices.

Then the Chiefs won their opener before a hometown crowd.

And now, first down and 60 million bucks for the streetcar.

WTG Q! Let the haters hate, the numbers show KC is winning!

Go KC!
