Whilst worthless social media chatter offers words of support, local conservatives are politely ignoring the cash request of the recall Mayor Quinton Lucas effort.
After about a week the group has only raised $2,492 raised of their $50,000 goal.
For a quick comparison, without even trying Mayor Q put three grand in the bank this quarter and holds an "off-season" $122K war chest according to July campaign finance reports.
Again, to be fair, there are big money right wing donors out there who could even the score with one or two checks . . . But so far they've stayed silent because there are serious doubts about the efficacy of this sketchy effort.
As of now, with less than 100 donors, we're not seeing an outpouring of support from so-called "grassroots" recall campaign.
Again, this can change at any moment, but it's fair to say that one week of fundraising for Recall KC has been far less impressive than then cacophony of keyboard warriors much more eager to share online comments and encouragement whilst sitting on their wallets.
