Kansas City Police Body Cameras Delayed

Local statements from authorities are pure spin . . . After social justice during the Summer, local media quickly announced police body cameras that would be up and running by October with help from authorities. Now that date has been pushed back. Again.

Take a look:

KCPD expected to have body cameras by end of 2020

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Missouri Police Department is expected to have body cameras by the end of 2020. The DeBruce Foundation announced on June 3 that it was donating the money to purchase body-worn cameras for KCPD officers, in cooperation with the Police Foundation of Kansas City.

Of course they have on/off button. Officers need to eat and go to the bathroom. Go fuck yourself.

Do they have on/off switches so the police can catch the blacks that continue to lie? You know the Breanna Taylor lie was a whopper.

Lucas doesn't want the world to see what a bunch of low class losers live in this town who break the law and abuse the KCPD. Cameras tell the truth, Lucas does not want the truth out there.

What do the police have to hide? Lots, apparently. They want unlimited access to your Ring doorbells, where they can hear your private conversations, access to Alexa devices, but they hide from accountability themselves.

If the cops had nothing to hide, they’d not be slow walking this for years.

Those who rail against the police, what is your major malfunction that you can't peacefully function in society? Are you crazy or just plain stupid? Does the police follow just you around 24 hrs a day to the point you cannot be happy and successful in life OR is your attitude and decision making the cause of all your misery?

You can continually stay a member of the pity party, blaming everyone and everything for your hostile existence or you can change what you can actually control and that is you. Preacher out.

The cameras are chump change. It's the cost of maintenance and storage that has not been budgeted by the City. 1000+ high def cameras running 12+ hrs a day saving video for a year? 2 years? And available to all your neighbors, co-workers or enemies who want to stalk you.

This was and is STILL a stupid idea. Not to mention that the vast majority of the time it proves the cops right, but doesn't seem to matter. Time and again we have video of criminals with guns or knives attacking the police, getting shot and they riot anyway. Why bother?

615, If I had something to hide and I didn’t want anybody to see it, that’s exactly what I would say. It’s amazing the level of denial that the police will go to be held accountable. What are cops afraid of? Transparency? Honesty?
