KC attorney breaks down 'no-knock warrants'

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - "No-knock warrants," which played a role in the March shooting death of Louisville EMS worker Breonna Taylor, are legal in Missouri and Kansas. And they can be an important tool for law enforcement, according to one local attorney.

  1. No-knock warrants are a disaster waiting to happen. Any time law enforcement invades a home there are all kinds of potential bad outcomes.

  2. /\ precisely.

Armed government troops bursting into a dwelling at night and killing a citizen without any legal process ... gosh I didn’t realize just how free and exceptional we have become.

  3. ^^^It's called self defense. Her boyfriend fired the first shots. Independent witnesses confirmed that the police announced themselves as they entered.

  5. The Breonna Taylor raid was not performed as a No Knock. They knocked. As if facts matter here anymore. TKC is getting as bad as the KC Star.

  7. Whether they knocked or announced doesn't matter. When someone bangs on your door in the middle of the night and then breaks the door down I doubt you can determine who it is in all the confusion. And what is to keep criminals from simply yelling police as they do a home invasion?

The cops should go to a house in daylight with overwhelming force and there will almost always be a peaceful ending. There have been too many instances of cops getting an address wrong or simply having bad info. The case in Louisville was not the first bad outcome nor will it be the last if there is no reform.

    1. The boyfriend shot first with his girl friend in between him and the police that announced themselves. They also found a dead body in the trunk of the car she was renting. She also had not been an EMT since 2017. She was fired for stealing drugs.
Oh and a big FU to BLM idiots.
