Kansas City MLK Blvd Redux

This time around there won't likely be as much fighting given the new East side proposal . . . Meanwhile, many advocates of citywide unity lament the 63rd East/West idea dismissed because of neighborhood leaders & politicos hoping to protect their fiefdoms.

  1. Now that the race card has a threat of violence to it they'll get their way. Should have to pass a vote but the libtard BLM ass kissers have the opposition scared of violence. Can't wait for a race sar to set thing straight.

  2. So funny they just won't let this thing go and MLK was never even here. What this mayor wants is whites out and blacks in. This mayor is the most racist hateful person this city has ever seen over and above J.C. Nichols. Can't the white people in city hall see this? They are playing right along with him and it's not going to stop there. Does he realize the civil war he is trying to start is going to be lost by blacks there just isn't enough of them.

  5. Got a park and a school named after MLK a Republican. He would be a Trump supporter if alive today.

  6. James Earl Ray was a hero. Name a street after him.

    1. Your not thinking .... See if MLK lived.. he would have eventually done drugs, robbed, raped, committed financial fraud etc and would not have turned into a saint...

  7. MLK was an adulterer! What happened to #metoo it was so in way back in 2018

  8. If the cleave wants this so bad and it’s so damned important to him why doesn’t he give up his name on clever Blvd and make it mlk Blvd?

Make him pay the annual fees to the king family as well.

  9. Our hood rats are slacking off. We haven’t had many murders lately. No MLK street until we get the record.

  10. 75% of KC do not want to hear anything more about this garbage. Enough is enough. Best advertisement for Trump is this Council. The Republicans should just roll the video of Ellington talking.

  11. Financial fraud is nearly 96% a white mans crime. Overwhelmingly committed by White males. Just ask the SEC for the data. Nearly every rule created under FINRA is connected to White financial fraud.

That being said, MLK doesn’t need or deserve any more naming. We have done it all. Spruce up the mark and lets call it good.

  15. The fix obviously is in. They'll make a show of listening to "the public." But the in person hearings are scheduled at times inconvenient to nearly everyone and in black neighborhoods where your car is likely to get boosted. So nearly all (or maybe all) of the speakers will support the race baiting reverends' demands, the park service will say "the people have spoken" and voila we'll have MLK Jr. on street signs all over the place.
