Kansas City Commemorates Yom Kippur

Quick faith note and contemplation for close readers of the blog who often question why we close off comments for some posts and not others.

The rule is simple but not always obvious . . . When a post is purely political or strictly news based, it's open season. However, when we're talking about the culture, faith and people of this town . . . We try to be more reverent or at least as respectful as this blog allows us to be whilst still offering the most complete view of life in Kansas City from an alternative perspective.

This post might cross the line on either side but it's Sunday night so we can only pray that you'll give us just a small break.

And so, tonight we mark a significant occasion for a few denizens of our blog community and a glimpse at the diverse culture of this nation and this town overall.
