Kansas City Builds "Death Star" For Raiders

For anyone who has seen Rogue One . . . The analogy is apropos and hopefully another multi-million dollar pro-sports joke.

Two Kansas City architecture firms behind new, modern Raiders stadium in Las Vegas

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Two Kansas City architecture firms crossed over from Chiefs Kingdom into enemy territory to build an incredible sports facility for the Las Vegas Raiders. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity," said Paul Griesemer, associate vice president at architecture firm HNTB.

  2. I saw the introduction of the station on Monday Night Football tonight. I thought that it was a great idea for them to have the field slide outside so the grass can get sunshine to help it grow.

  3. 2:47 Cardinals stadium in Glendale, AZ is set up with a retractable field too. That was built almost 15 ago. https://www.statefarmstadium.com/stadium-info/about

  4. At $5B they should have nooooo problem recouping that money with no fans in the stands. 😏 I'm enjoying reading the clusterfuck that the NFL and teams have put themselves in. 🤣

  5. Both the Raiders and Chargers new domed stadiums look sterile, corporate, and sterile as hell.

Football is mean't to be played outside.

Without fans and the weather elements; the games on t.v. are boring as hell.

The fake fan noise is a joke.

Watched 5 minutes of the Chiefs game and the Raiders game to see the new stadiums and thought that is no Lambeau Field.

NFL has to be suffering this year; subsidizing Kronke and Al Davis Jr. with their new stadiums.

The NFL will raise ticket prices 20% next year to gouge the fans and recover their losses.

    F*ck the NFL.

  9. Population of Oakland is around 420000 of which 400000 live off welfare. If they all contributed $2000 of their welfare, that would be $800 million and Oakland could have built a new stadium and kept the Raiders.
