KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Five high school golfers in Johnson County were denied their request for a temporary restraining order that would have allowed them to compete this fall.

  4. When I read this recently, I thought it was outrageous. Why is girls golf more important than girls volleyball, girls basketball, boys volleyball, ad nauseum. "They may miss the opportunity to be recruited by a prestigious school". This applies to anyone in school who is involved in any sport. What a waste of time and money. The SMSD had to have an attorney to handle this. The girls' parents should pay the bills. They were behind it anyway. Sorry, golf is no different than football!!!
