A glimpse at the good life offers our blog community a brief respite from urban struggles. Meanwhile, to be fair, middle-class white people keeping up with suburban neighbors offers its own share of human misery.

Take a look:

Bright Colors Mix with Bold Patterns to Give a Renovated Ranch a New Lease on Life - In Kansas City

When this Prairie Village ranch was built in the 1970s, the color palette skewed Mediterranean-avocado green, harvest gold, burnt orange, dark brown. Looks very sterile and uncomfortable.

Where's the t.v., bar, snacks, bean bag chair, kids toys, empty beer cans, deer head, stuffed beaver, pet dog, etc. ?

Gotta live a little; that house looks like a museum for faggots.

Nice do-over but it doesn't come close to representing how SMALL that these outrageously overpriced houses are.

12:12 Out of touch are we? Tiny houses are the rage, hell daily there are hours of DIY, HGTV shows on tiny living. How about 250 sq ft for 100k. Bigger is not always better.

another reason why this town sux, they aspire to get the perfect fabric for their sofa, tell their friends what a nice car, hair, house and shoes they have. lets invite some friends over honey, have some wine and pretend we are sophisticated and while sitting in wing chairs. Meanwhile the spaces outside their HOPEFULLY-worthy-of-a-photo-spread-in-the-midwest domestic living is still crap.

Jealous much, 2:11?

2:11 lives down in the hood. The only time he sees anything like furnishings in this house is when he is botching a home burglary. Matter of time until someone shoots his ass.
