Blue Springs Should STOP Wasting Money Trying To Fight Jackson County In Court

The pandemic has strained local home budgets across the nation and most people are short on cash right now.

To wit . . .

BLUE SPRINGS SHOULD STOP WASTING MONEY ON THE LEGAL FIGHT OVER HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS!!!

We're not trying to be a spoilsport here . . . People can do whatever they want with their cash and this isn't an argument about legal merit.

We just want to put things in perspective . . .

Jackson County was recently AWARDED MORE THAN 80 MILLION BUCKS WORTH OF CARES ACT FUNDING.

And so the cash from a bake sale isn't going to make a dent in challenging the resources the courthouse has on hand.

Here's the other side of that debate . . .

Fox4: Blue Springs parents raise money to help school district sue Jackson County Health Department

Deets:

"Parents in Blue Springs are raising money to help the school district sue the Jackson County Health Department. This is over attendance limits at sporting events health officials put in place due to COVID-19. As it stands now, only 100 people are allowed in the stands for events like high school football games. The school district sued, saying that’s less than 2% attendance in its stadiums. The lawsuit demands 12% capacity, or about 600 people."

Reality check: Mediocre amateur sports can wait . . . The cash people are being pressured to throw away would be better spent ANYWHERE else than on this legal battle.

Again, do what people can do whatever they want with their money. But now they can't accurately claim that they weren't warned.

Developing . . .

  2. They were right to sue and should have won. The Chiefs can have 22k and taxpayer funding but parents can't watch their kids? Ridiculous.

  3. They can’t win because frank the skank is still sitting on $62 million in cards act funding that still needs to be handed out to the cities, he’s using it on what ever he wants and little court cases like this are chump change to Frankie boi, hell, he probably paid off his house with it by now.

  5. Amen. I am in the district and I am completely against this lawsuit as are many out here. They have so many other issues they should be devoting their resources and attention to. Distance learning is a terrible fail. They need more teachers. They have more students in quarantine than they are willing to admit because they will not social distance in school. But the wealthy Lakewood parents demand to have more family at the games. Cry me a lake. Priorities people.
