Black Lives Matter Denounce Johnson County Authorities In The Pitch After Overland Park Protest Gone Wrong

The Pitch is pretty desperate for content nowadays and so they're accepting submissions and donations from their last remaining readers. Accordingly, here's the word from (mostly white) BLM activists who are still mad that a march into an Overland Park neighborhood was met with neighborhood resistance and push back from residents  . . . 1. George Floyd was a drug addict, piece of shit, that overdosed and if you showed up in some suburban neighborhood and didn't get the response you expected, tuff shit, take that noise down to the ghetto where it belongs.

  5. Oh the horror. People who actually pay taxes and own real estate don’t want low life vermin marching through their neighborhood raising hell. You poor thing, they were rude to you. Keep it up and you’re going to run into someone who is a bit more than rude. You’ll deserve whatever happens to you.

More lies from this same group that has done nothing but lie from the beginning. How unexpected. More lies from The Pitch as well.

"What led to the police showing up in riot gear, being stationed at every block, not allowing street access, and being colder than accommodating was certainly not known to protesters as they marched on the 24th of July."

No, they knew exactly what led to it. Going through a residential neighborhood at night while shouting, screaming, chanting, playing drums, and broadcasting through a bullhorn. The name of this 'protest'? "No Justice/No Sleep". The group was looking for confrontations.

'The leader responds, “Ma’am we are not on your property."'

This quote from the article is directly over a photo of one protester clearly standing on the homeowners' property.

"A woman in a yellow vest runs to the residence, stands between the ***** and people passing on the sidewalk, and is shoved repeatedly by Mr. *****."

This is not at all what occurred. The woman in the vest runs up to the homeowners, places her back and arms to them, and then forcefully pushes them backwards further onto their own property, trespassing while doing so. The event is CLEARLY shown in the group's own video. She could have, and perhaps should have, been arrested for both trespassing and battery.

I'll not repeat the names of the homeowners here. It was unfair and a direct threat for The Pitch to name them in the first place. The event with the homeowners had absolutely nothing to do with the charges against the protester, nor did the event have anything else to do with the point of the article. The Pitch included this bit only for the reason of naming the homeowners publicly. Would it be appropriate to give the general proximity of the author's home and then show photographs of its specific location? The public would then effectively have his name and home address. That's exactly what he has done to the homeowners.

The Pitch deserves the slow death it is experiencing.

  9. Let's see, trespassing, disturbing the peace, bum rushing cops and just generally being obnoxious for the sake of being obnoxious....that sums up this movement.

As you can see in the videos, the main objective is to capture the police on camera doing something objectionable (or at least edit the video to look that way) to get something....media attention, further a false narrative, sue the city and get $$$? Perhaps the Pitch could use their investigative skills to tell us which.

  10. I think there is one paragraph where the Pitch story forgets to mention that the police were in riot gear. May want to fix that.

It's a red herring issue anyway. Putting on the riot gear, whatever that means, makes sense if the police are not for sure that the protest will be peaceful or not. Huge parts of major cities have been vandalized, burned down and looted by protesters who were "mostly peaceful." If this protest turned out to be "mostly peaceful" in the same way they were mostly peaceful in Minneapolis etc., it's too late for the cops to go back home and change.

  11. Jokes on them. Nobody reads the Pitch anymore.
