TKC MUST SEE!!! MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS DEBATES REPUBLICAN NEWT GINGRICH ON KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE VS. COVID-19!!!

An important and politically charged juxtaposition considers the pandemic vs. Kansas City's historic 2020 homicide spike . . . Checkit:

This morning, a longtime GOP pundit and politico tweeted . . .

To which Mayor Q shared this retort . . .

Now, whilst our Democratic Party dominated cowtown will clearly side with the Mayor over a right-wing TV pundit and only our crusty friends from the suburbs will take the contrary view.

Notice that the Mayor's response ostensibly attempts to pass the buck for the horrific spike in KCMO homicides onto the Missouri GOP -- That's a tactic innovated by former Mayor Sly James and it serves as a great distraction but doesn't really address the longstanding threat of local deadly violence now becoming a crisis that's apparent from the national stage.

Update and further explanation from the Mayor:

Nevertheless, we offer the question to the denizens our blog community . . .

WHO WON THE QUICKIE TWEET DEBATE BETWIXT MAYOR Q VS. NEWT?!?!

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. The mayor won of course.

Let's be real. Newt doesn't give a damn about Kansas City, he's just trying to score points to get on cable news again and again.

Isn't Mayor Q basically doing the same thing?

They'd make a great odd couple for the talk shows.

Meanwhile, people in KC keep dying which SHOULD be the point: Stopping the violence, not becoming a social media star.

      Think about it.

    2. He won at passing the buck.

County is Democrat controlled and has been for longer than you've been alive.

They own the fact they want to be able to give killers probation. They want to keep killers and wife beaters on the street.

You can't keep lying and expect to be believed.

    3. The problem is we shut our schools in City down for covid-19 but we're not willing to shut things down for a problem that has existed for a long time and no mayor seems to want to take responsibility and figure out how to address the problem the mayor's just want to do projects that make them look cool not the projects that need to be addressed

  2. Newt won because he is right. Quinton lost because he is a fag who won’t accept any responsibility for lowering our murder totals.

  3. Quinton Lucas lost this debate big time. Has anyone told Quinton Lucas that the police have taken care of the crime in the city but the LIBERAL judges and LIBERAL Prosecuting atty let them go, and the LIBERAL mayors of Kansas City expect the police to enforce laws at half staff!

Nice try Lucas you LOSE RACIST BLACK MAN.

Demsheviks know they can create the problem and blame their enemies and the media will lick it up.

They want the violence. They want that money.

    2. What's next Quinton Lucas defend the police require everyone to wear handcuffs so no one can be killed and wear masks take responsibility and fix your city don't just make excuses like every other mayor has done

  4. What exactly is "crime control", Mr. Lucas? And what does the make-up of the board of police commissioners have to do with people who cannot control themselves, cannot resolve conflict without resorting to violence, and who murder children in their sleep? You might want to concentrate on what the real issues are that continue to drive KC's murder rate sky high. Stop worrying about who is wearing a mask and how many people are at the bars and engage the true community partners who actually care about getting a handle on crime in our city

All Johnson County votes do not count. You don't live in KC. YOU hate KC. Stay in your trailer. You do not matter. You would be glad to see KC burn and laugh while it happens, we are better off ignoring you. You do not wish the best for us and the feeling is more than mutual.

Enjoy that e tax because your small cities are so worthless and no one wants to do business there. Vampires.

  9. Guess you missed the part about not a lot of business happening in KC now and Q Ball trying to shut down the ones actually open huh? You'll find out what that e tax is worth very soon. People don't have to work in Kansas Shitty anymore.

  13. How can he say he had a great relationship with police? He stood on the steps of police headquarters and claimed them to be racists. He helped champion the fight against them in the budget, arrests, ordinances, all claiming that people of color are targeted. He denied the Back the Blue murals violating their first amendment. Now there is a recall effort going on against him. It’s also been reported several times that he wants to fire the chief.

Unless he has his head in the sand he’s lying. Any relationship he had with police is long over. He used the police to get us northlanders to vote for him, but that won’t ever happen again. I have friends who are police and he burnt that bridge.

  14. The Board of Police Commissioners did not murder Legend Taliferro. KC is not “liberal”. It is in point of fact very left wing, governed by nincompoops, with the Boy Blunder being the Chief Nincompoop.

    1. You're lying again. Democrats have to lie because the facts are so plainly against them.

First off, it was the Clinton's who worked with Russia. Not Trump. Democrats are pleading guilty to this utter farce.

You're also lying about solutions. Folks here have been saying FOR YEARS that the lack of prosecution and sentencing for violent crime is getting minorities killed.

The audit proves Democrats profit from minorities being slaughtered.

You aren't just lying for political gain. You're covering up the personal profit Democrats steal off the spilled blood of Black CHILDREN.

      You're evil.

  22. 8:22, “stay in your trailer” in JoCo? What are you smoking? And as for no one wanting to do business here, it’s amazing that our city services put KCMO to shame and it’s all done with no e-tax. I can understand why you would feel butt hurt living in KCMO, but at least make honest arguments.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Last time I looked JoCo had a considerably lower homicide rate.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sorry Q, you own it...not even close to being able to duck out on this one.

So, try doing something innovative to fix it. Oh, but all the real solutions are not PC for you and your progressive masters? Well, guess the KCMO populace is screwed again.

I would appreciate if you would keep the violent stuff in brown town (east of Troost) and out of KS.

  25. Criminals won. Between this mayor taking a knee, and Jean Petersucker Baker not prosecuting crime, criminals know they can get away with more than ever. Additionally, with a booster shot from George Floyd, the Ferguson Effect allows "broken windows" crime to go unchallenged, which emboldens those who lean toward crime to be even more brazen - lack of enforcement of petty crime leads to violent crime. This is not a police problem, although more police may help, this is a systemic culture problem. Segments of our society rely on government welfare to meet their basic needs - housing, food, healthcare, abortions, etc., which gives them zero incentive to work, save for their "retirement," and ultimately work to contribute to society. Instead, with their basic necessities met, crime is often a result when drugs and alcohol are abused, or cash is needed for material possessions. It amazes me to see families with $1,000 iPhones come into our food pantry and donation center. I always want to ask them how they are able to purchase those items and not afford clothing or food. The mayor can't blame the Republicans for local issues.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Coach Q- Logic is logic. The Buck Stops Here. It seems like all of the Urban leaders in this City simply point fingers for the murder problem. Sly-pointed to guns. You are pointing to the police commission. And the underlying thing that is in common is the Councils willingness to take money out of the general fund which would be used for basic maintenance in other parts of the city to feed worthless projects like 18th and Vine, Linwood grocery, MLK signage, Jazz Museum, Blue Room ets.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Does anyone other than Quinton Lucas really believe that local control of the police would cause the murder rate to go down?

    1. They want it to go up so they can keep looting the COMBAT Tax fund.

Take what they say and flip it to the opposite. Very good way to determine what their goals actually are.

  28. Gingrich is a smart guy, good politician, good commentator. However, he's also a piece of schitt. I lost all respect and interest in listening to him when he cheated on his wife. Fvck, is it that hard for people to keep their dong in their own woman? Don't make the vow if you can't keep it. You can't keep such a simple yet important vow to the most important person in your life, how the fvck you s'pposed to keep promises to your constituents? Same with Oreilly why would I trust what he says if he can't keep such a simple vow to his wife. Mebbe I'm too old skool, or mebbe my grandparents set an example to me that others didn't to for theirs (my parents set an example as what not to do).

  31. The twitter comments prove yet again how brain dead democrat voters in KCMO really are. The City Council and the Prosecutor do what they can to defeat law and order in the "New Detroit". The Mayor supported the rioters when they were rioting. Ran like a bitch when they started with the violence. Did not support the KCPD while they were under attack. No, Newt was right but the idiot dems are clueless.

  39. What's really sad about Lucas' constant desperation for attention is that, even at the time he actually thinks he's "making the big-time" TV appearances, he's showing how out of his league he really is and how poorly KCMO is being governed.
Why force people to try to find out how stupid you are when you can just open your mouth and show them?
If you thought the Slyster was all show and no go, this guy makes Sly look like a serious adult.
