TKC MUST READ!!! COMMUNITY NEWS CALLS OUT KANSAS CITY CORRUPTION AMID POLICE LOCAL CONTROL FIGHT!!!

Council is prepping for a BATTLE ROYALE over a Kansas City police local control vote and local voices to support the po-po are rising up to confront a Summer of protester demonstrations.

Here's one example out of many and must read missive to start the day:

Northeast News: "If ever there was a reason for the Kansas City Missouri Police Department to remain under state control, your gone-rogue, cancel-culture, corrupt City Council just served up two heaping reasons in the last sixty days."

The two incidents the note refers to are council pardon for plaza protesters and the Black Lives Matter street art. Check the column for a better explanation.

Another money line and a word of warning . . .

"If you believe for one minute that a police department controlled by this corrupt bunch at City Hall would be free from any sort of micro-management or weekly meddling you are sadly mistaken."

You decide . . .

  1. So-called "local control" would turn Kansas City into a wasteland within weeks.

    1. ^^^ Weeks? that's a bit generous. Council district troops would be commissioned within the hour. Ever seen World War Z? That's probably about right.

  4. Does local control of the police mean I can rob Helzberg's and walk away free? Sounds good to me.

  5. The so called "battle" in the council is over nothing, given the fact that the current iteration of "local control" is a Missouri state statute that only the legislature or a state-wide referendum can change.
The population of KCMO can vote as much as they want and the local control mob can hold their breaths until their faces turn blue and it won't make the slightest difference.
And there's ZERO chance that either the legislature or a referendum to put control of the KCPD under the thumbs of the current gang of clowns at city hall.
Look at their performance at pretty much EVERYTHING else that residents actually depend on local government to do.
    Abysmal would be kind.
Good article and right on the money.

  7. Let’s see, the boi blunder and almost all of the clowncil hates and I mean hates the police so it doesn’t take a rocket scientist well, if you’re a graduate of kcps it might be difficult to understand that they want to defund the police. It’s all about the money and apparently the boi blunders political future because he wants to be just like the dimwit run destroyed cities.

I don’t understand how in the world you’d want to be like the mayor of Chicago, Portland, Seattle and la. How does turning a city that doesn’t want to be run by Marxist idiots even allowed to happen?

  8. Nothing to decide, if that corrupt bunch at City Hall ever gets control of the KCPD the murder counts will go through the roof. But I'm betting Jeff City already knows this and will tell Lucas to sit down and STFU.

  9. I think the state should have control over the city council, especially Brandon Ellington and the fat hog Melissa Robinson.

  10. Anyone hear anything from the B.O.P.C? Who are they, where are they?

  11. So make control a commission, board or authority with its own power and locally elected citizens. Whatever it takes to fire the Chief, disband speciality units, reassign officers to patrol, centralize span of control and divert 20-40% of the budget to social agencies.

    1. Hmmm, your idiotic comments lead me to think you weren't accepted for the police academy. Don't hate us 'cause you ain't us.

    2. You have no idea what your talking about. You can give more money to meaningless welfare “social” programs without diverting from police.
They are not inclusive of one another. You should hang your GED a little lower on the wall today.

  13. Local control of the Police is a code word for the downsizing of law enforcement in the Urban core. A byproduct of this is? The council will be able to grab police cash and use it for their pet Urban projects. 18th and Vine, new Linwood Grocery, employment of folks who would otherwise are unemployable.

  14. Corruption in Kansas Shitty? Say it ain't so! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  15. i would have every council person followed, listen in on, and follow any known acquaintances just to see if everyone plays clean. Feds should be doing that already, right.

  16. I HATE Northeast News with a passion but agree with them here... for the record, the City Council has been corrupt since at least 2011.

Yes, I would vote down local control of the police in a heart beat... or less, if possible.🥾🔪

  18. Local Control = somewhere between Purge 1 and Purge 3, mixed with Boyz in The Hood.

    Sounds Beautiful

  19. I wish they'd make the Purge a thing. I have a rather lengthy list of deserving individuals and not having to dispose of the bodies would be a real plus!
