THE TKC SATURDAY NIGHT PLAYLIST!!! KANSAS CITY FED LEADER WARNS: RESURGENCE OF CORONAVIRUS THREATENS RECESSION REDUX!!!

Summer is quickly coming to a conclusion and already fear of cold & flu season sparks more important concern regarding the diminishing value of cash . . . Here's what might be the most important newsmaker comment of the week that was under-reported among local newsies . . .

CNBC: Fed’s Esther George sees risks building of double-dip recession

Deets . . .

Kansas City Fed President Esther George told CNBC she has concerns about a double-dip recession should the coronavirus see a resurgence.

Kansas City Federal Reserve President Esther George said the recession that began in February could revisit the economy if the coronavirus pandemic intensifies.

"An important risk to that outlook is thinking about what happens as we come into the fall, whether we see any resurgence in the virus that would cause an additional pullback in the economy."

Even worse . . .

The Midwest is undergoing a conronavirus surge in the midst of widespread resistance to public health precautions and biz restrictions.

Right now Kansas City counts 96 deaths from coronavirus and 8,466 lab confirmed cases.

Whilst politicos, pundits and even economic titans weigh in on the impact of coronavirus, there's growing fear of an American second wave.

Still, the pandemic has been politicized and Americans are uncertain about the future . . . The only thing we know for sure is that the plague isn't going anywhere, anytime soon. At least not until November 4th.

TKC doesn't offer any health advice BUT it's not unfair to suggest that the coronavirus will remain a fact of life into the foreseeable future and so this scary situation inspires our playlist for tonight . . .

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.

  1. not sure cold and flu season will make it worse considering that it didn't really respond to the heat like the President said.

  4. 10:46 it did respond to the heat, just not the way the science thought it would, it weakened significantly when it came to deaths and severe illnesses but it didn’t go away as they thought The real question is what will the science tell us is going to happen when it gets cold again.

Notice the word science? I mean that’s what the dimwits say and when they tell it’s the science you have to believe it right?

I don’t care who says what, nobody has gotten this right because it is a new virus that nobody knew about or knew what to do. It’s not like Ebola, that’s been around since the 70’s and they just accepted a vaccine in the USA in 2019.

  5. There are almost 3 million people in Kansas. Only 448 people of those 3 million have died of COVID. The flu killed more people in Kansas last year. With the shutdowns, we have destroyed people's lives and financial futures; greatly increased drug overdose, alcohol overdose and domestic abuse cases; caused an uptick in suicides; and forever hurt the development of children's brains – all because of the deaths of .0000149 percent of the state's population … and to keep Sleepy Joe Biden safely in his basement bunker until the election is over.

"The flu killed more people in Kansas last year."

You can keep cutting and pasting this same response all you want. It still won't make it true.

  7. This virus thing seems way to convenient for the democrats and we know they hate America just look at the liberal cities.

  9. The virus has very little to do with a recession in KC. The mayor however does. KC has put two racist crooks in office who's objective is to steal from white people and spoil black people. Look at the facts and look at the past record of both of them. Only blacks get hired on city jobs, taxes raised on white areas and the money thrown into black areas, white landlords can't make money on renting properties, blacks can rob stores and riot without charges against them, blacks don't have to wear masks only whites do. Best thing to do is realize KC is now a racist city and if you're white move on and remember KC when it was a productive city before people like Sly James and Quinton Lucas ruined it with their hate and racism.
