Kansas City hotel, travel industries continue to take beating
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The hospitality and travel industries in Kansas City continued to be battered by layoffs because of the COVID-19 pandemic in July and early August. While some industries are beginning to recover, the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development received WARN Notices during the last six weeks affecting more than 450 jobs in those industries from KC-area employers and another nearly 100 jobs were lost in Kansas.

Lack of sports doesn’t help and when they return people will remember they sold out to BLM and that will not sit well. Why would people from other Midwest cities come to KC when the murder rate is where it is? I think some of the smaller mid-major towns like Omaha and Des Moines have plenty to offer and as do their states. Hell, for that matter Colorado is close with the best of all worlds. I don’t see KC getting its shit together under this mayor. He is lost.

ReplyDeleteIt's not BLM or ProFa, it's the government mandating social distancing, masks, occupancy rates, etc. Who wants to travel? Local government is responsible for local busnesses taking a beating, and now the government is considering PPP to be a loan, all of the businesses that participated in those programs will be paying taxes on that "grant." No wonder businesses are dying.

I had to back some punks away from my truck when I backed it in about an hour ago High school punks that thought they were being cute with a laser sight. They ran away without me firing a shot. Oddly the house they were in has been dark and vacated. for hours now High school punks. Kinda weird what happens when you call them out.
