PRIMA NOCTA!!! KANSAS CITY DEMANDS PAYMENT FOR LOOSE PARK WEDDING PIX!!!

In much the same way that savages in Medieval Europe demanded the "first night" with the wives of their indentured servants . . . Kansas City often taxes wearing a tux and/or a gaudy dress at the park.

Loose Park enforces permit requirement for professional photographers

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Loose Park is one of the most popular spots in Kansas City, Missouri, to take photos, whether they are personal or professional. What many photographers might not realize is that the park has always required a permit to take professional or commercial photos on the property.

  1. So, let me get this straight... in every other Kansas City park you can take photos in a tux/gown but Loose Park you have to pay for a permit? Sounds ridiculous.

    5. It makes no sense that the net is a platform for assholes..... what does that have to do with permits? God forbid there are minorities on a site that was most likely a plantation. Let's not disturb the "good folk" i bet massa turning over in his grave. Next itll be oranges growing in loose park not roses. Get a life!!!!

  4. Yes black people love the parks any park and that's O.K. but they are moving in on Loose Park and even down state line to the PV area. Hy Vee on State line is almost all black now. I guess that's why everyone is selling in Mission Hills. With the way they act and the BLM terrorist organization no one wants to live by them.

    1. Have you ever lived in or near an integrated neighborhood? I think not. I'm white and grew up in white neighborhoods. I moved away in the 1980's. You have no idea how enriched and enlightened your life and mind, your outlook, becomes when you live around and associate with different races, a diverse population. White people have an automatic station in life. It is white privilege. We all experience the same things in life. White people with basically the same life experience are kind of boring and have few challenges compared with minorities. White people have taken advantage of blacks for eons, able to do so because we're the ruling class. And, we then blame them for any lack of success. Think of any life challenge you've encountered and then look at it as a minority person with racism stacked against you whatever that life challenge may be. Really think about it: health, housing, jobs, wages, being stopped by the police, good schools, bullying, name calling, safe neighborhoods, illegal drugs, access to services. Im sure I've left out a lot of our life challenges. Really think about it. If you are calling people names, you are helping keep racism alive. You are part of the real problem. It's not the people you are calling names. Racism is the harshest reality.

    2. White privilege??? Well, I guess it had nothing to do with my family who generations ago struggled in poverty, worked hard, put God first and made sacrifices to keep a family whole. Didn't give up on a marriage when it got difficult and we never saw a minority as that's just a black or brown problem. You want to get to some real problems....look at one parent homes....parents making decisions that will effect generations...look at schools about the time you took prayer out....loook at same sex marriage and how that goes against the design God intended....just look at when you ignore God and replace it with a human perspective then chaos is what you'll see....In the Bible written 2,000 years ago says that all of this happening in the world is because people will be lovers of themselves and have chosen to disobey what God has said...its all right there...if you need scripture then respond back! All lives matter and I believe that. God bless and im praying for you!

  5. ^^^White people never want to live by Blacks. Go into AN neighborhood USA/Kansas or Missouri and you’ll see obvious signs of segregation. One color or the other. Rarely a mix and if there is a mix - is a low ratio either way. Since 1600’s.

    1. Same as lunch rooms at factories or schools. People like being with their own kind no matter what social justice says.

  6. ^^^^

I'll be $500 bucks those last comments were written by some white guy who doesn't have ANY friends. Not even white ones. Again, I repeat, stay in your trailer and hide under your bed if you are so scared. The rest of us want to live our lives out in the real world.

If you hide away, nobody will bother you and you can stay safe. Good luck to you.

  8. I'm entirely okay charging to use Loose Park. As a matter of fact, I think the City hasn't gone far enough. I'd advocate for moving to an entirely fee-based system and ending all county and city taxes. If I use your trash service, charge me. If I ride your streetcar, charge me. If I send my children to your schools, charge me.

However, if I don't use these services, don't charge me.
