KANSAS CITY RENT STRIKE REDUX AMID DESPERATE FREE MONEY DELAY!!!

As always, we remind our blog community that there's only one story, there's only one fight and everything else is a distraction.

The eternal struggle is, was and always will be: Haves Vs. Have-Nots.

And so . . .

The flow of free money that threatens to bring down the entire American economy is the only REAL issue under consideration.

Check the links:

CNN: Pelosi and Mnuchin dig in on stimulus positions ahead of scheduled Monday talks

CNBC: White House, Dems still agree on $1,200 checks but deadlocked on unemployment assistance

FT: US economy in peril as unemployment payments expire

And all of this directly impacts the struggle over the RENT that is taking center stage again in Kansas City, now that money is tight, evictions are up and running and the feds keep printing free money . . .

Take a look at local PBS promoting the talking point "Tenant Issues are Black Issues" for viewers like you and their corporate donors who attempt to dictate the discourse to KC . . .

UPDATE . . . LULZ!!! KC NPR took town their video after they found out we linked it . . . And, in reference to the courthouse showdown that started the weekend . . .  We switched out the KC NPR clip and replaced with a KC Tenants campaign video . . . Same difference.

Nevertheless, it's always worthwhile to contemplate the rent and this is a good point to take a pause for Sunday night. Hopefully, we'll have more for the morning update . . . STAY TUNED!!!

  2. Yep, because these free cheese renters and you don't create jobs, taxable income or an economy without corporations. Beyond the criminal institutions. This recent time period should be the best example you need. Poor idiots can't figure out you add nothing to Society.

    1. Taxable income...that's the crux. Why work and pay taxes when the Fed prints money and Orange man signs the checks and hands it for not working? Or better yet, for being a banker.

  4. Hey Bandit. I've noticed you used a colon today. No not THAT kind. I mean grammatically. Please note that a sentence or fragment following a colon is not capitalized: as shown.

  5. Poor confused people. You must not have notice their comment on just adding to the Criminal institutions. Your taxes don't amount to jack shit all you crybabies and corporations keep you fed. Beyond selling meth and stealing for some. Keep typing the tear jerking tax payer while on assistance whine.

  9. You pay Federal taxes. Amazon doesn't. That kind of welfare Puts an EBT card to shame. Clue up dude. Figure out who's picking your pocket while you cry, "looters!"

  10. Specifically which tax laws did Amazon break? Do you claim that individual federal income tax payers do not or should not take advantage of all the credits and deductions available to them? Why should the same not be true of corporations?

  11. You know that if a renter would just communicate with the landlord instead of stealing free rent from them I'll bet there would be many fewer evictions. If I were an Landlord, and I am not, I would have an ironclad rent agreement that would evict any renter for many things beyond not paying rent and I would find one that applied to anyone not paying rent and get them the hell out of my property the day after the rent was due. No extra ten days etc. I would have a video of the apartment the day they rented it and if I found a nick in the wall would keep the deposit. I'd have nice places and good renters, I'd fix anything and everything as needed. My renters would love where they lived and stay for years. Families would flourish because I would not allow deadbeats.

  12. ^^and it shows that you're not a landlord because you can't really do any of what you just said, and are living in a fantasy world. Maybe get some real-world experience before you go on running that fat mouth of yours. OK Boomer?

  13. I've had rental properties for years, north and south of the river, and tenants of all races. There is one ironclad, enforceable, lease agreement breaker, which is spelled out in Missouri law, which is illegal activity. Since a majority of my tenants smoke marijuana, and marijuana is still illegal in Missouri, it has been quite easy to get emergency orders for eviction from both Jackson and Clay counties. This has been true well before any pandemic issues, but even after the pandemic. In one quadplex, a tenant just decided she wasn't going to pay rent. It took 30 minutes of video to show the traffic in an out of her unit, a call to the police, and an emergency order for eviction was in place within four working days with a police report. Problem solved. Likely the only dispute is that the lease agreement indicates if the lease is broken, tenant forfeits security deposit. I kept her security deposit, so she may take me to small claims court for that. I'll pay it back if I have to. The other [pot-smoking] tenants paid on time after that.
