AMC theaters, 5 in KC area, to reopen next week with 15-cent movie tickets

AMC theaters has announced that big screens across the country are scheduled to start a phased reopening, and that schedule includes five theaters in the Kansas City area.To celebrate the return to the movies, and the company's 100th anniversary, on reopening day, moviegoers can enjoy ticket prices from the 1920s -- just 15 cents (plus sales tax) per movie ticket.

  9. We really do not need movie theaters anymore. No good movies are playing, and we have survived quite well without dumping $100 to go see a trash film (including overpriced concessions).
