My favorite question would have a complex answer...

"Why was KCI Airport located in the outskirts of Platte City, and not in the Jackass Bend area between I-435 and US-291 as originally planned and Federally approved?
And how does that relate to a Boy Scout Camp in Missouri?"

Because TWA wanted it on the top of the hill with their maintenance building.

Nope, Try Walking Airlines was set to build next door there too - hint...
it all had to do with who got to sell the land to the City, and made some folks at 12th & Oak quite rich.
