    but is it happening yet?

  2. Thousands of people being evicted over a short period of time may reach crisis proportion. But for the asinine eviction court moratorium, the evictions would have been spread out over months. It would have been much easier to deal with a steady flow of evictions than with a sudden onset of thousands.

Thanks again for your help, KC Tenants!

  7. Translation: I am a dumb, poor idiot. I don't have a pot to piss in. I cannot be expected to work hard, manage my finances, and save for the future. I like being a welfare slave in Section 8 housing. I like being in such a precarious financial state that they can throw me out on the street because I have no money (at least none left after I went to the liquor store, the T-mobile store, the marijuana store, and the Ho-Ho and Twinkies store on Troost).

  8. I have three evictions pending in Jackson County courts and one in Clay. All my tenants have been served. I have prospective tenants lined up to take their places at almost twice the rent. There is a housing shortage in Kansas City and this is a landlord's market. If your rent hasn't been raised in awhile, count yourself lucky. All of my properties are going up. There is great demand for decent homes outside of the protest zones. Can't wait to get rid of the deadbeats. There is no one more self-entitled than a tenant who tells me she doesn't have to pay rent. Hope she and her kids have to live in their car. My lenders weren't offering breaks, and I paid loans, taxes, insurance, and utilities the entire time the deadbeats weren't paying rent. I wouldn't even care if they came up with the money. These tenants won't show up in court. I will get a judgement by default, track them down, and their paychecks will be mine until their back rent and damages are paid off. Hope they have to explain to their kids the reason they are hungry is because mommy spent the $2400 a month unemployment assistance check on something else.

  9. I guess there is inequity in that I have no fear of being evicted from my home. I paid rent years ago as a renter, and on time. I got a home and a mortgage and I paid the payments, on time. I never asked for rent or payment forgiveness, ever. I lived up to the promise I made to the landlord and the mortgage company. I own my home now because of that no on will be coming to evict me. Maybe you should too.
