10 metro breweries join national campaign, serving 'Black is Beautiful' beer

SHAWNEE, Kan. - Breweries around the country are uniting and raising their glasses for change. Courtney Servaes, owner of Servaes Brewing Company, is one of 10 brewery owners in the metro serving Black is Beautiful, a stout beer. "It's really about celebrating diversity," Servaes said.

  3. "Retarded is Smart"

    "Joe Biden is Sane"

A brewery can place any label on a beer bottle but it doesn't make it true.

  4. I'm sick of this racism pushed by black people so here it goes if you want to get nasty.
Black is beautiful but niggers are cockroach brown. Two can play this game.

    1. Yes. Colt 45 or a good bottle of Ripple or Thunderbird.

  6. "Whites are not dying in masses like blacks are". This is a lie that's caused huge financial losses, deaths of many and ruined lives. With the body camera footage out it's even more clear the officers are innocent of any crime as to George Floyd. There is blood on the hands of people saying things like this. Like hell I would buy that beer.

  7. I had it. It had a lazy flavor and a criminal aftertaste. It had notes or caramel, marijuana, and a tint of malt liquor. I literally felt robbed after drinking it because it was so awful. By the way, where it was served, we were practically forced to drink it. like Kool-Aid, or be called racists.

  8. TOP PHOTO -- BITTER AFTERTASTE

'Black is Beautiful' beer is created from ingredients of unknown pedigree, can disrupt a healthy immune system, and requires outside assistance to be served!!!

  9. False statement:

“White people are not dying in masses from police brutality right now,” Servaes said. “Black people are.”

    True statement:

In the U.S., 10 unarmed black men were shot by police officers, while 20 unarmed white men were shot in 2019. Unarmed doesn't necessarily mean they weren't trying to take the officer's gun, or choke or beat them. In fact, six of the 10 unarmed black men were later proven by undeniable evidence to be attacking the officer when they were killed. Yet, contrast those figures with about 7,000 black men killed in the U.S. by other black men. One category of deaths brings a lot of money to groveling politicians, Kaepernick, the NACCP, BLM and other groups when it occurs, and the other category doesn't. Like most things in life, follow the money. The white police officer in Minnesota made a lot of people rich when he killed George Floyd. The "blood money" is flowing into the coffers.

  10. The beer from most of these places tastes like sh*t and cost way too much.

  11. How many of these breweries have hired blacks? They should be printing that next to all of their company names. That's the way you support the black community. Give them jobs. Trump brought black unemployment to record lows. Obama set records for having the highest black unemployment under his terms. That's what a businessman brings to the economy.

  13. More taking advantage of a situation and virtue signaling to try to get new customers and media coverage. Reminds me of all the sudden hiring of diversity officers at companies now and the attempts to get it noticed in the media.

Thank goodness Boulevard wasn't on the list that I saw. I like a number of their beers, but would stop buying if they participated in this stupid knee bending BS.

That's the great fallacy this whole movement is based on.

  19. Glad they listed the breweries in the story. Now I know, as well as other where not to spend my money. And it's not that I'm racist, I'm against this false narrative that is being portrayed by the crazy activist and the media. Or wait "crazy activist" and "media" might be one in the same!!

  20. Somebody should watch how much of the funds actually go to minority organizations. Many of these breweries are hurting from the lockdown and repugnant and overpriced beers and will be tempted to pocket the cash.

  21. Is it sold only in 40oz bottles?

  22. I had tried almost every micro-Brewery in this area and had wanted to try KC Bier Co, but they’re dead
to me. The others on here-never heard of but will make sure I stay away. I, too, am glad Blvd hasn’t stopped to this level. There are other good locals that aren’t participating. Good for them!
