Gov. Laura Kelly calls on Republicans to make Kansas next to expand Medicaid

Hours after Missouri became the 38th state to expand Medicaid coverage for low-income residents, Kansas Gov. 1. She should first dig into her purse and give. Before asking other to do so. Weird

  2. If Denning would have kept his promise, Kansas would have already implemented it ahead of Missouri. The Kansas legislature has passed this multiple times over the last several years only to have it blocked each time by a lone Republican.

You can't trust Republicans to keep their word on any deal.

But then again, the GOP just hates anyone getting health care. You're on your own.

Their policy is "Don't get sick". If you do, die quickly.

  3. @332 You are a little short on the facts here chum. First this is a financial deal breaker on it's own. Yes the feds pay 90% the first three years but then bail out leaving the state residents to pick up 100% of the never ending tab, multi-millions of dollars per year. Then like all Free services it never stops. More people take advantage of the free stuff costing more. Inflation and medical costs rise and the lucky taxpayers are on the hook for an out of control program. This is the ultimate social program and Kansas Taxpayers (Missouri in four or five years as it takes a while to implement) go broke supporting people that don't work. The net result is the state taxpayers are on the hook forever and ever. This is one of the things where we would have rejected the ACA if we were allowed to read it before it was passed - Thanks democrats.

  5. A liberal is someone who wants to pay their debt to society off with someone else's money to make themselves feel good. How may Kansas are unemployed because of her iron fist while that bitch is still drawing a paycheck?

  6. ^^^How would you know what a liberal is jackass? You’ve never been anywhere or done anything as you are always on here talking out of your ass.

  8. Rich comments from the "fiscal conservatives" that still glorify Trump despite him adding more debt in 4 years than Obama did in 8. Trump has the debt now growing at nearly $1 trillion a month.

Obamacare and the medicaid expansion passed with tax revenues and a mandate that paid for the program. It kept rural hospitals open in states that accepted expansion.

The GOP again repealed the payment mechanisms. It's Republicans that act like everything is free. Reagan, Bush, and Trump each set the benchmark for the biggest debt increases in US history. Typical.

  9. ^^^Hold up there pal, it's "fiscally conservative" when it's payouts for rich people and corporations. The common family, not so much.

  10. Medicaid expansion is a much better plan than trying to manage a large uninsured population by relying on uncompensated care—especially since the federal government will always pay for at least 90 percent of the additional costs created by Medicaid expansion.
