Blue Valley parents to district: Let Them Play - The Sentinel

Though the atmosphere mirrored a pep rally leading to a big game, the more than 400 "let them play" protesters who gathered at the Blue Valley School District administration building on Thursday afternoon weren't looking for a win on the field or the court.

  4. The county and state are padding the numbers of positive tests. My wife is a family Physician and has several patients that have waited two hours to be tested and left because of the long wait time only to be notified two days later that they tested positive. There's too much money to be made with testing. The real numbers in JO CO is .5%.

  5. It's all bullsh*t. Just protect the elderly. The protections are causing people to miss cancer screenings and other medical appointments, so more people are dying because of the delayed diagnoses. One out of four young adults (aged 18-24) have seriously considered suicide during the COVID-19 lockdown.

  6. Hey high school parents: Make your kid study and get good grades. Quit telling them that they need football scholarships, get academic scholarships. You and they don't seem to realize that as you go up the athletic ladder fewer opportunities are available. There is a small chance your kid will make a pro team in any sport. Look at Bubba Starling, he was THE king of high school football and might make the Royals real team but he might be out of baseball all together too. I am sure the Gardner Ace Hardware will hire him as a clerk after his playing days. Your kids doesn't stand a chance.

  7. I think many of the parents in the burbs are so much smarter than urban parents with more common sense. Folks in the burbs aren’t drinking the koolaide, kids are tougher, and all want lives back to normal and aren’t cowering in their basements.
