We talked about this option and growing resistance against the feds to start the day and now it's news fact . . .

Forbes: Mayors, Lawmakers Scale-Up Opposition To Deployment Of Federal Agents In U.S. Cities
Money line from the letter regarding local federal law enforcement activity that's mostly penned as a rebuke of Prez Trump:
"In many of our cities, our communities have expectations for law enforcement, including identification of officers, training, and recorded body camera footage, among many other expectations and policies. These expectations are being blatantly disregarded by federal forces. In most cities, there is also independent oversight of use of force policies and officers who act outside of policy. Federal officers have not been trained for urban community policing, including critical crow control management and deescalation techniques. There is no oversight of the actions of federal forces . . . It is concerning that federal law enforcement is being deployed for political purposes. The President and his administration continually attack local leadership and amplify false and divisive rhetoric purely for campaign fodder. Their words and actions have created an environment of fear and mistrust."
A quote from Mayor Lucas:
"(KC will) always be willing to work with any level of government interested in productive, cooperative, community-based action to make our city safer."
The mayor's social media quote:
"Proud to stand today with the Mayors Keisha Lance Bottoms of Atlanta, Lori Lightfoot of Chicago, Ted Wheeler of Portland, Jenny Durkan of Seattle, and Muriel Bowser of Washington, DC against federal intervention in local protests, particularly the involvement of unidentified Homeland Security forces."
