TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! KANSAS CITY CHIEFS NAME CHANGE LOOMS AS REDSKINS RETIRE RACIST MONIKER TODAY!!!

It turns out Super Bowl glory for the Kansas City Chiefs is unlikely to live through the pandemic as the American political and cultural landscape rapidly evolves.

To wit . . .

REALITY CHECK: THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS WON'T BE ABLE TO KEEP THEIR NAME NOW THAT THE REDSKINS ARE KAPUT!!!

Moreover . . .

RECRUITING LOCAL SELLOUT TRIBES ONLY DELAYS THE INEVITABLE: THE "CHIEFS" NAME IS A RELIC OF THE PAST!!!

Personally, TKC will miss the team's tradition but progressives and their politically charged pressure now dominate the corporate landscape - Which, in turn, dictates terms to the NFL.

Breif aside . . .

At the end of th day, changing the name of a sports team doesn't really impact the lives of fans or locals one bit . . . But the culture war distraction entertains as the pandemic grows more serious, economic challenges lie ahead and VERY REAL political instablilty grips the nation as the election moves closer.

Most importantly . . .

The Chiefs can no longer justify the racist "Arrowhead Chop" and banging their silly faux native drum . . . The only way to remove those controversial traditions, given that fans can't show any restraint, is to change the team name.

Right now the Kansas City Chiefs front office is too scared to even try to defend their name and hope to ride out the storm hiding like cowards instead of stepping up like champs.

Should the Chiefs follow the Redskins and change their name?

With Dan Synder and Washington changing their team name, franchises around American sports are considering the same. The Washington football franchise's decision to finally cave to public pressure and likely change their team name has had reverberations around the sports world, with MLB's Cleveland Indians and even NHL's Chicago Blackhawks releasing statements revealing their choice to either take a second look, or stand put.

Washington Redskins expected to retire nickname on Monday: report

The Washington Redskins will retire the team's nickname on Monday, according to a report by Ben Fischer of the Sports Business Journal. Washington won't announce its new name because trademark issues are still pending, but the "thorough review" of the name is officially over because the team wanted to "remove any doubts as to the future of the name," Fischer reported, citing sources.

Football Kneels To Pressure

The Washington Redskins are no longer the Washington Redskins

Money talks. After years of ignoring requests from Native American tribes to change the name, the Washington Redskins are listening to their main sponsor and changing their name. Multiple outlets had source reporting Sunday night that the official announcement of the name change will be made Monday, though the reporting gets murky as to when we'll know what to call Washington's team moving forward.

  1. Really like the idea of renaming them the KC Monarchs. That's something that speaks to our local history much better than the Chiefs.

And yet they won't. In fact, it's a great way to clean out the racists and give the team new life.

    3. Agree 100%. Notice Sporting had players tape names of victims of police related deaths.....as if those idiots, half of whom aren’t US citizens, would know. When sports teams want to enter the political world by making these statements, many supporting BLM, they are going to lose clients......If Chiefs pull this, I’m out there too!!!!

Many have suggested Washington Redskins change the name to Foreskins or Swamp Creatures......

I think this is more than just a culture war distraction.

The choice you postulate doesn't exist.

Dealing with this problem doesn't keep us from dealing with other problems, too.

  4. The word chief or chiefs is not racist, progressive crybabies have run their course, their time is up, wasted on stupid crap like sports teams.

People all over the country are fed up and aren’t gonna put up with this idiocy anymore.

  5. This is just barely a start.
Quite a few pirates have had their feelings hurt over that team's name.
And dolphins all over the world have been traumatized by those Miami helmets.
    And the Browns?
    Whoa!
    Time to get crackin' SJWs!!

  10. Royals is probably systemic racism. Kansas City as a cowtown represents colonialism of the prairie. Kansas is Indian, so we need to wipe that away. But, hmm, we should give Kansas city back to them. Could you promptly vacate your homes? Thanks so much.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Indians don't hold a trademark on the chop. Anyone who has taken 5 minutes of European history knows that axes were used by many races and tribes for many centuries before the so called Native Americans showed up to take this country. Warriors everywhere the world over did the chop with weapons in their hands.

The chop displayed by the Chiefs fans looks more like a martial arts move than a warrior move. Keep the name as the Chiefs but remove all art work that looks like an Indian.

The arrowhead as well isn't an item completely indicative of Native Americans.

I would suggest the Kansas City Racoons, because nobody could possibly have any objection to a team being called the "KC Coons"!

Texas white billionaire corporate welfare whores pimping their black sharecroppers on a field of green, and the SJW crowd is nowhere to be found? It's all about getting as much for yourself as you can. Ain't capitalism grand???

  33. A name change will be the end of the team, you aren’t getting rid of racists as you call us, you are eliminating a historical fan base that keeps this team alive! Change the name and lose the fan support, then who pays for that half billion dollar contract?

    ReplyDelete
  34. A lot of these team names help young people learn about Native American history at least a little bit. I'm afraid if they go away, no one will even know anything about Native Americans, which isn't good. They are not in the news like Hispanics and blacks.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think I understand. Referring to skin color is racist, except when the skin color is dark brown to black, in which case not referring to skin color is racist.

  38. Hey people I know some of you hate Super Dave but damn he has a better take on the issue and he has the right idea to deal with it all. The Chiefs were not named after some Indians to begin with so do what Dave says and leave the name alone.

    ReplyDelete
  39. By changing the names, we will be putting the American Indians even further away in our memories and they, and their stupid rituals, will be forgotten in 20 years. People wont buy anything Indian related or support tribes, or help those lazy drunk Indians in any way. hanging the names is a bad deal for the Indians because in the future they might have claimed royalties on those names. But now they get NOTHIN!

  40. @10:25AM-Let me correct you, WE ALL hate simple dave. He's never had an original idea a day in his life. Also Simpledave does not reside in Kansas City, so he gives a shit what a non-resident thinks about our team?

  41. IDK 10:36, FSU is named after the Seminole tribe as an honor to the tribe. The mascot (the guy who rides the horse in and puts the spear in the ground) is a tribe member. Call me crazy, seems like a right way to do it. Not calling the Chiefs wrong either.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Au contraire are you ever the misinformed idiot 10:52, you see it's YOU we all hate and can't stand. And if not for the likes of Super Dave and many like him your city I guess you have such love for but I doubt, would be even further down the proverbial shitter than what it is now.

Because only black lives matter amiright!

And that’s exactly why the white people in this country have taken over the narrative so as to ruin blm’s unjust cause.

  45. Change the name, it's lame and nobody wants this racism in our city!

    ReplyDelete
  46. ^^^Well if that's an issue for you, please move to somewhere else. The city's average IQ will go up by a few notches.

It's Dave who makes substantive comments. Chimpy is too stupid for that, so he she it is doomed for life to make predictably repetitive personal insults.

We like Dave. It's you who's shit.

  52. Problem is, Indians are already forgotten. Only the sports teams names keep them alive. When on vacations in the 1960's the only remnants of indians was Mesa Verda cliff dwellings. The Pueblos were pretty new. Otherwise they left not 1 city, monument, stone statue, pyramid, obilisk, or carving in a mountain. They left NOTHING over the centuries they lived here in the USA. Only sports names keep them alive. Nobody cared that Santa Fe had the Super Chief train. But now its all going to go away, names and everything.
