SUMMER IN HINDSIGHT a collaborative feature-length film created by The West 18th Street Fashion Show & Film Society KC
The West 18th Street Fashion Show is now partnered with @filmsocietykc in 2020 to produce "Summer in Hindsight," a feature-length film platforming selected fashion designers through a narrative that explores the creative process during a global pandemic and a cultural revolution. Directed by Peregrine Honig and starring Calvin Arsenia as the lead, the film's "Directors Cut" will be aired at Boulevard Drive-In Theatre for a command performance on Friday, October 16, 2020. Previously the scheduled show was set to celebrate the twentieth production year via a 100-foot runway on Saturday, June 13.
"Pivoting from a live event to producing a feature-length film demonstrates our strength, creativity, and flexibility. With iconic Kansas City locations as our sets, international musicians will be scoring the soundtrack. The garments have been further developed due to our designers being quarantined with their work." She added, "Our innovative use of the Boulevard Drive-In as a venue ensures #Covid19 protocols are followed, protecting our audience." Creative Director, @PeregrineHonig.
