TKC MUST READ!!! MO RAGE BLOGGER KEVIN LAMENTS 'TRAGIC' DEMISE OF KANSAS CITY STAR AND HATES TKC!!!

TKC has never been keen on personal beef and so we share this missive about the state of dead-tree media as a cultural artifact which reveals that our most loyal readers are often our harshest critics.

Without any pride of authorship and in the spirit of good humor inspired by chesty Denise Milani at her laptop, we've registered MO RAGE criticism CONSISTENTLY over MONTHS & YEARS. Moreover, MO Rage also syndicates our content on the sidebar of his own blog so his complaints must not resonate too deeply, even with himself. . . Here's what is likely his critique of our blog community, of which he is a reluctant member given his many comments on our forum . . .

"There is one local blog that purports to report on local issues but please. That blog is so sexist and exploitative and clear, sensationalist, extremely repetitive, over the top, shallow, even silly, emotional Yellow Journalism, it's not even funny. Little of it is original copy except "TOLD YOU SO." That blog just has reposts on it from any and every other source, local and national, news and otherwise, it can find. Ironically and yes, hypocritically, that blog has been trashing the Star for years as "Dead Tree Media" but---wait for it--it's depended on it, on the Star, and for years for copy on that very blog. It would be laughable if it weren't so pathetic and pitiful and hypocritical."

"So don't say or think some local blogger can or will take up this news gathering slack. It isn't going to happen."

I don't think ANYBODY has ever said this blog will replace a newspaper, including TKC. This blog has always been about an ALTERNATIVE take on this cowtown . . . But, again, it's nice to see that Kevin is thinking about TKC so intently that he holds us in the same regard as the so-called Kansas City paper of record.

His deepest regret on the decline of the Kansas City Star as "Kevvy" desperately works to keep himself from commenting on this post . . .

"No, it's not just a sad day for Kansas City and the metropolitan area. It's a tragic day."

Then again, we talked about the Star parent company buyout on Sunday and he's just getting around to working up a post almost a full week later . . . So, again, it's not clear that anybody believes a failing biz slowly devolving into a non-profit really impacts the lives of this town's residents. Even from the safest space of a Brookside bubble.

You decide . . .

  4. Mo Rage doesn't go for tits and puss.
That's why he calls it "exploitative".
    Freakin' weirdo.

  5. Rain or shine, TKC covers the bases without paywall or partisan slant. It's work creating so many headlines n links every day. Plus a fairly open comments section. That's why he's KCs most successful news blogger. Big thanks and don't let the haters get to you.

  6. Envy is a stinky cologne, Kevin.

I've also noticed that Mo gets hammered in arguments because he really doesn't know how to debate.

  7. "Here's what is likely his critique of our blog community"

So, in other words, it's not an actual comment, made anywhere publicly visible nor able to be found using Google.

"I don't think ANYBODY has ever said that" is correct because it appears NOBODY said it.

    1. ^^^ Hey there buddy, there's a link to the MO Rage blog where the quote can be found. You can search Google to find it or just click on the link Tony provided.

I think Tony said it was "a likely critique" because Kevin didn't mention the blog by name, even if the reference was obvious.

Don't be such a crybaby Kevin.

  8. I find it funny that a person (an idiot) who welcomes comments never posts any. MoRage is like Byron, it's either their lunatic way of thinking or the highway. Both are two jealous and both share the fact that other family members have done better with their lives than them but think we all want to read their insane no factual content comments. MoRage's comments here are like reading his stories, a total waste of time and effort. Don't give up your day job MoRage if you even have one because you're not a journalist for sure. Another thing crybaby, if TKC bugs you that much, stop reading it you loser.

Hopefully in one year or less MoRage will be no more

  9. May be it's MoRage thats the Chud, Weird and Boomer guy all rolled into one. In fact it has to be, he is only one who hates this blog the most I know of outside of Byron and he's to fucking lazy to post crap all day or bright enough for that matter not saying Mo is any brighter, well maybe, but very little.

  10. Mo needs to post more plastic tits and fat bitch smooth ass.
That will get rid of that "Rage".

  14. HO MO RAGE criticizing the TKC bloggy goodness? Say it ain't so.

The only time I've read any of HO MO Rage content was when TKC featured it in a post. In every instance I found it to be a classic case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. The guy makes no cogent argument for his diatribes, and the posts tend to be on the scatterbrain side of reality.

HO MO RAGE is too easy a target to even attempt debate with, as he's apt to start throwing out "Nazi", "racist", etc., as soon as he senses that he's losing. And he's always losing!

  15. The Star failed to change with the times. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but in the field of communication it is deadly. They are not in the business of news, but in the business of communicating the news. A newspaper now is always going to be old news when it comes to new stories compared to other forms of communication. Newspapers could still have a place if they focused on rock solid reporting, reporting we could rely on, that rarely got it wrong.

Instead, they print any rumor or lie that supports their personal agenda and biased point of view.
