TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! INSIDER: KANSAS CITY MSM MUST STOP DESCRIBING PROTESTS AS 'NON-VIOLENT' DESPITE REPEATED EVIDENCE OF LOCAL DESTRUCTION!!!

A word from a drunken barfly in Westport who witnessed a recent altercation betwixt protesters and other drunken Westport denizens . . .

"So, I guess the media isn't reporting the fight at Westport this weekend. Too bad, there were punches thrown in the parking lot near Kelly's and I thought it was going to get worse but it was broken up quickly. What I noticed is that these protesters don't have anything in common with the civil rights movement. This isn't a protest about faith or equality. It's just a power struggle. The protesters are angry, cussing and ready to brawl. At least that's what I've seen. And yeah, the mayor is right, most of them are white. Really eye opening to watch how the protests have been misrepresented. They came off like bullies in Westport and the crowd was mostly disinterested. They didn't accomplish much and were repeatedly told to go home by my fellow KC drinkers. Too bad. I'm basically on their side but as the protests drag on it's clear they're getting frustrated. Too bad, we need activists in KC but not people out there looking for a fight . . ."

And with that a few TKC readers have consistently reminded us:

A recent downtown demonstration initially described as "peaceful" until reports of vandalism and slamming a cop's hand in a door were revealed.

The first major protests in Wesport this Summer were described as peaceful despite arson in the middle of the street and windows smashed at Kelly's.

In the Spring, protesters on the Plaza said they were "mostly peaceful" but 20 officers were injured and one cop had his liver lacerated.

And of course, this weekend in Overland Park a protester for "racial justice" is accused of battery against an officer.

We asked a protest insider about this and the response was terse but still informative . . .

"We have a right to defend ourselves just like anyone else. A lot of these incidents are exaggerated and the reports are one sided. Police and many others have provoked protesters repeatedly and attempt to deny our first amendment rights. If you look at the bigger picture, violence against the protesters is much more widespread."

And so, there's a legit debate to be had on the "narrative" of recent conflict at demonstrations but as the campaign season moves forward, let's not deny the fact that violence on "many sides" is a major part of nearly all recent Kansas City protests.

Developing . . .

I guess the protesters were defending themselves after being provoked when they tried to loot and burn the plaza. But hey, lets look beyond this at the bigger picture and try to see it from their point of view.

    1. There's bad apples in every crowd. One should make allowance for this when reaching broader judgement. All whites arent bad because 3 million blacks died on white slave ships. All blacks arent bad because 1% commit serious crimes. See the trees and the forest. Grasshopper.

      Delete
    2. You need to stop focusing on hundreds of years ago and focus on now. Black are dying now, and it’s from Blacks. They have a completely fucked up culture that promotes everything a society would not want. It’s not just whites that have prejudice... no ethnic group likes the blacks.... why is that ? You are a fake intellectual that needs to drink some hot cocoa and take a nap.

      Delete
    3. Before offering white solutions, why don't you listen to what they say is the problem and the solutions they want to try? Even engage in coversation. Go visit a downtown food shelter or pantry and volunteer for a day. Maybe if they could fix it themselves they would. There certainly have been attempts to fix, but the multigenerational cycle of poverty, violence, and racism is not easy to escape. Rich people inherit money, poor people inherit poverty.

Mmmmm. Cocoa. Did white people invent that too?

  12. Stop calling Black people who lead certain organizations Black Leaders when they aren’t that at all. If they represent a specific business provide their name and title - and if you must add that they are black, then do so with their title and not this blanket title of BLACK LEADER. It’s misleading, dishonest and fictional.

Then, I’ll do what I can to NOT call peaceful protestors as such when they are causing destruction and disruption.

    This is a fair trade!

    1. So, you are saying, "Black people who lead blacks are not to be called black leaders."

Ummm, ok, if you say so. I'll report it to the language police and request a change in the Caucasian Collegiate Dictionary.

Srsly though, these organizations are deliberately decentralized as a matter of philosophy and strategy borrowed from anarchist writings. Anarchists have been around a while and popularized these techniques, but were never really succesful, although their tactics have gained a broader appreciation in current protest groups.

  15. The protests have IMHO have only been a cover upon for committing violence, destruction and looting. History tells us that rioting and looting seldom results in mass arrests or severe charges against those caught breaking the law. Meanwhile innocent people pay huge prices and suffer pain from these so called protests. Sure people have a right to gather and voice a complaint in accordance with local laws, but now days it appears that isn't possible as breaking the law while doing so is the common factor. Taunting law enforcement and setting the stage for law enforcement to even have to be involved in the first place is what making you voice heard isn't about. Breaking the law to make a point about someone else breaking the law only makes you as guilty as those you speak out against and maybe even guiltier because what you're doing is premeditated. When you take to the streets with full face coverings and protective head gear and other items for street brawling you're no longer a protester but a common thug intent on breaking many laws depending upon your actions.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's a lot of cover for very little violence. Lets say out of 5000 protestors, maybe 50 are violent. At least in KC. That means 4950 white folks are there to provide cover? Makes no sense. Some of what you say is true, but the premise is faulty.

  16. This has been a tactic employed by the protesters since the George Floyd protests began back in late May. The show up with their cellphones out recording video as they shout provocations at the police and anyone else that disagrees with them. If the targets of their abusive language don't react the way they hope, they escalate to physical assaults and throwing objects in an effort to provoke any kind of a reaction. If the targets react at all, they capture the video, heavily edit it to remove any indication of their provocations, and just show the response from the target. They the post the three second video of the reaction on social media and claim they are the victims. Their real intention is to paint the targets of their aggressive tactics in such a negative light that no one will want to support their targets, and will instead sympathize with their cause. Anyone who witnesses these protesters approaching would be wise to pull out their cellphones and record the protesters. If you can capture video of their provocations and aggressive tactics it makes it impossible for them to spin the confrontation to their advantage, and the media can't depict their protests when their video to the contrary. TURN THE TABLES ON THEM!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Exactly. That is definitely a tactic. Both sides do this. It doesn't give either side a claim to superiority. The battle is for public opinion and media is a weapon. Only this time the little people have cameras and video too.

  21. @8:46 - Great point! It's hard for the media to portray the protests as peaceful if the little guys who are targeted by the protesters have video of their provocations. I think we are starting to see the push back from the innocent bystanders who were targeted in Overland Park. The funny thing is these liberal groups who are supporting the protesters think this is helping their cause and people will rally around their candidates including Job Biden. I think it is having exactly the opposite impact. It's solidifying the Republican base, and driving many of those who were independent towards the law and order Republicans. If they keep these tactics up this election could be one of the biggest landslides since the 1980's Reagan era.

  24. In the U.S., 10 unarmed black men were shot by police officers, while 20 unarmed white men were shot in 2019. Unarmed doesn't necessarily mean they weren't trying to take the officer's gun, or choke or beat them. In fact, six of the 10 unarmed black men were later proven by undeniable evidence to be attacking the officer when they were killed. Yet, contrast those figures with about 7,000 black men killed in the U.S. by other black men. One category of deaths brings a lot of money to groveling politicians, Kaepernick, the NACCP, BLM and other groups when it occurs, and the other category doesn't. Like most things in life, follow the money.

  26. The standard media mantra, when buildings are burning and looting is prevalent, is that these events are "mostly peaceful protests." By that definition . . .

The flights on Sept. 11, 2001 were mostly peaceful . . . until the boxcutters came out

Hiroshima was a mostly peaceful city . . . until the Enola Gay flew by

It was a mostly peaceful day on a beach in Thailand . . . until that tsunami hit.

I worked with and around journalists for a couple decades, and have yet to meet (collectively) a more dishonest, arrogantly liberal, and patently ignorant group of people (you want a laugh . . . ask a simple math question in a newsroom).

Their entire approach to "mostly peaceful" protests is akin to reporting that the girl was "a little bit pregnant."

Nobody should be surprised by the crap the media spews. Half of it is half true, and the other half is a lie.

Many others believe a country should have borders that mean something and help with legal immigration, not instead of illegal immigration that strains schools and social programs and raises taxes further. A strong military is preferred by many to dissaude terrorism and countries that want to do us harm, of which there are many. Nor is the fact that a bunch of drunks get in a fistfight in Westport much in the way of news. DUH!

But, it is NOT a coincidence that much of the provocation and vandalism in Portland or KC seems to come from a bunch of WHITE guys who would not seem out of place at a Klan rally (or an FBI office). In the 1970, the feds had COINTELPRO -- and undercover team specifically designed to foment trouble at civil rights and anti-war demonstrations. I suspect that "Antifa" -- to the extent it exists outside Tucker Carlson's fevered imagination -- is some such "organization".
