Click here to read the full article. Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri has introduced a new bill aimed at tackling forced labor - and he's specifically calling out Adidas, Nike and Puma. On Monday, Sen. Hawley introduced The Slave-Free Business Certification Act, a bill he says will hold American corporations accountable for their supply chains.

ReplyDeleteNike and a lot of other U.S. companies are using slave labor in China. That's well-documented. It's all about finding labor for pennies. Ask any management expert and they will tell you to go find the cheapest labor possible. What they won't say is it's fine to use ethnic slave labor, which is what the Chinese are doing. Hawley is being honest and accurate about it, but Nike, the NBA and others don't want to hear it because it means they don't get to rack in millions of dollars in savings by using this kind of labor.
