SHAME!!! KANSAS CITY MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS CAUGHT WITHOUT MASK!!! NOW CITY HALL HONCHO SHARES 'REGRET' & SEYZ HE'LL RETEST & QUARANTINE!!!
Special thanks to our KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY for sharing this photo . . . We had to retouch the image just a bit to protect the somewhat innocent whilst still sharing our silly blog fun.
Nevertheless, this subject is (somewhat) serious given that Kansas City metro coronavirus mask mandates have been imposed throughout the metro and without much consideration of individual liberty, constitutionality or the impact on local biz.
First word as always goes to KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS: "Mayor Lucas practicing what he preaches at the Lake of the Ozarks this past weekend? What a hypocrite."
MSM confirmation regarding a lack of leadership by example . . .

Now from the Mayor . . .
KANSAS CITY MAYOR Q TALKS COVID-19 QUARANTINE & RETEST!!!
A social media statement:
"This Saturday afternoon in an attempt to unwind, I was invited by a friend out to spend time in the water in an area largely away from the public. I wore a life jacket during my time in the water. I never entered any establishments, nor was I around any large groups of people inside or outside. Upon my return to the more public dock, however, a group of women from Kansas City leaving a boat who appeared to be enjoying the day spotted me, shouted “That’s the mayor!” approached where I was, and came to ask if I would be willing to be in a photo with them. Still with wet shorts and noting I didn’t have a mask on me since I was just out of the water and other dry masks were in the car, I told them I’d prefer not to. One woman asked again and, although not sensible, but out of politeness to what appeared to be a nice group of people with a rather routine request, I stood for a photo with them. The entire interaction lasted roughly thirty seconds. I didn’t know any of the women who ventured my way to ask for a picture, but did recommend they wear masks as their night proceeded. I hope they took my advice.
"A part of this job involves unmasked folks or folks wearing masks improperly occasionally coming up to either speak with me, asking for photos, or even looking for handshakes and regularly entering my personal space of far less than six feet, as happened here. I almost always am able to prevent close contact both for the safety of myself and those around me, but also to make sure that we have a consistent public health message that reinforces the message that there are simple steps we can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19, like wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. Even if my intention in allowing them to take the photo was to be polite to a group of constituents who approached me on a dock, my politeness undermined our important public health message and I regret it.
"Out of an abundance of caution and to protect those around me and our community, I will be having another COVID-19 test today. I would encourage any others whose travel or activities may have exposed them to do the same for the safety of our community. I also will refrain from returning to City Hall or other public activities until I receive a negative test result. A previous test result came back negative two weeks ago."
Accordingly, and given recent orders given to the public, we ask our blog community . . .
SHOULD KANSAS CITY FORGIVE MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS FOR HYPOCRISY FOLLOWING HIS MASK MANDATE?!?
You decide . . .
