Decision in Washington raises questions for Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - For years, Chiefs fans have flocked to Arrowhead Stadium donning fake headdresses and warpaint and another longtime game-day tradition, the Tomahawk Chop. A lot of fans say: "I think you should stick with tradition," Chiefs fan Leah Grady said. But Cody Hall who is Native American, thinks otherwise.

Comments

  1. Keep the name, ban the stupid chop and the headdresses. That's a lame "tradition" that nobody wants.

  2. Change the name and branding so they will shut up about it. The indians complaining about it are a bunch of soy-milk drinking wussies. The fans who are concerned about the name are even worse. Who gives a fig what the name of a stupid football team is. Name the the KC BBQ, but that will probably PO the vegans. Still, who cares? Go to work and shut up. Take your Soma. Watch your emperor's games on TV and shut up.

Native American my ass. Clearly this is a progressive dumbass (umkc student) that’s been brain washed into believing white man bad and should cleanse himself of his white guilt.

People can give real reasons for changing the name, but no one can give any real reasons for not changing the name. All they seem to have is name calling & keyboard warrior tough talk.

11:20 if you don't change the name, the chop & headdresses will remain.

11:57 "Who gives a fig..?", "Still, who cares?". Lots of people care, hence the article. Why does it make you so angry?

2:54 "Clearly"? Again, why are you so angry.

    Change the name.

The reason NOT to change the name is because that's what the team has been forever and there has been a tradition created that the people who pay the freight of buying tickets and merchandise and watching the games support.
The "reason" for changing the name is due to someone somewhere whose feelings are suddenly hurt and who wants to take advantage of the mass insanity of the BLM public and cowardice of elected officials and corporate executives to suddenly bow to the wishes of the mob.
Whose feelings are hurt by having the capital city of the country named after a slave owner?
How about tearing down Monticello and Mount Vernon?
    Christopher Columbus statues?
    Please.

  7. Make a deal
Change the name only when the Democrat party changes its nam to the Slave owner party, or the segregation party

  8. Indians were the original slave owners for anyone knowing basic History. Name it correctly, The Indian Slave owners. Make everyone Happy again. Weird

  10. Who cares if they change the name.

The NFL has been scalped anyway.

Fans are turned off by the politics.

    The NFL is dying; kaput.

  11. And yet the NFL continues to be the biggest sport in the world. Weird.

  12. The argument for NOT changing the name is because you can't have any name without someone whining that it hurts their feelings...so we have now decided being a Kansas City Chief is something to be ashamed of? Okay. Can we be the Police Chiefs? Probably not. How about the Kansas City Crackers? I doubt it. Poodles? KC Poodles, is everyone OK with that?

  13. Not the crazy cat lady. KC Pussies

  14. It seems that every wannabe Indian feels they're entitled to speak for their tribe. Every tribe has a governing structure who were elected to represent the members. Let's hear from them.

Why would we not change the team name? So as not to surrender to the Mob. It has to stop somewhere, let it be here.

  15. I'm a boomer and I don't care if the name changes or stays the same. I don't care about Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs, the Royals, MLK Boulevard, or the KC shooting numbers. I have a well-equipped cabin in the woods on 237 acres, a river running through my property and four natural springs, game, and a huge garden. Screw you all. I don't care about your petty problems.

The definition of a boomer: A geezer with a pension and a 401k (for black people, a pension is where your company rewards you with free money and a 401k is a tax-deferred savings plan where your company matches a percentage of your savings). I've saved millions. I don't need social security, but I am going to collect it so it doesn't get wasted on one of Nancy Pelosi's pet projects or an illegal alien's abortion. I consider social security income as piza and ammo income.

  16. ^^OK Boomer. You talk too much. How come you losers are on here lying about what you have instead of enjoying it? Is it because you're a liar, lonely, bored, and everybody hates you? Yup. Played yourself Boomer. Again. Always.
