KCPS Shares Provisionally Accredited Coronavirus Reopen Plan

We'll pretend that online learning is taking place . . . Mostly this is a note that the schools will remain shut down . . . Which only "provisionally" matters to students.

Kansas City Public Schools announces reopening plans

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Kansas City Public Schools released their back-to-school plans on Wednesday, starting the academic year with all students taking distance or virtual classes. The KCPS Board of Directors approved Superintendent Mark Bedell's recommendation that schools delay the start of classes from Aug. 24 to Sept. 8.

  1. Crank theory: USA is trying to remind our enemies that we're ruffian cowboys who aren't afraid and are basically crazy.

The crazy cowboy image helped win the world wars and the Cold War.

Is it a coincidence that it just came out that our ICBMs are hair-triggered to launch on attack? That we're developing a new nuke that's more destructive?

Like Robert Duvall surfing in Nam in "Apocalypse Now," ignoring the pandemic sends a message of crazy cowboys to our increasingly menacing enemies.

  2. What difference does it make? They’re going to continue to be literate either way and everyone know it. Mark Bedell and the KCPS should quit pretending like they care about educating their students. All they are is very expensive taxpayer funded daycare.

  3. Somehow a series of circles in a circle pretty well sums up the operation and effectiveness of KCPS.
A once wonderful school district reduced to only 17K students, provisional accreditation, and year after year of dismal results and outcomes.
    Sad.

  4. 45% of the students dropped off the grid since March. The state allowed everyone to be passed and attendance wasn’t counted. That will change in September. With 45% of the kids missing, thats a reduction of 45% in state and federal funds. Translation, layoffs and more false numbers to keep operating.

Sounds like a great plan. We need our kids in school so they can be indoctrinated by their state-sponsored instructors in their activism. History will conveniently leave out anything negative or that might trigger the children to violence. Everyone will get a "participation A grade," and no one will fail or be left behind. This will prepare our children for remedial college, where they will learn about Marx and how bad our country is, which will prepare them for a world economy controlled by Chi-Na.
