  1. If blacks' attempts at success are futile, and no matter what, blacks will not be allowed to succeed, how does that support black success? i.e. Óbamà, Lewis, Colin Powell, etc.>

  2. Here's the million dollar (2) questions. Are black communities safe? Who is out doing most of the violence and destruction in the city right now?
    There are just as many, maybe more racist blacks in the country as there are whites. So when you point a finger at J C Nichole's you can point one back at a black person!!!!

  4. Manny Johnson ;

    The color of one’s skin is no bar to a young man or woman dreaming of making a better world. Like other Negroes, I experienced and saw many injustices and inequities around me based upon color, not ability. I was told that “the decadent capitalist system is responsible,” that “mass pressure” could force concessions but “that just prolongs the life of capitalism”; that I must unite and work with all those who more or less agree that capitalism must go.

    Little did I realize until I was deeply enmeshed in the Red Conspiracy, that just and seeming grievances are exploited to transform idealism into a cold and ruthless weapon against the capitalist system—that this is the end toward which all the communist efforts among Negroes are directed.

    Indeed, I had entered the red conspiracy in the vain belief that it was the way to a “new, better and superior” world system of society. Ten years later, thoroughly disillusioned, I abandoned communism. The experiences of those years in “outer darkness” are like a horrible nightmare. I saw communism in all its naked cruelty, ruthlessness and utter contempt of Christian attributes and passions. And, too, I saw the low value placed upon human life, the total lack of respect for the dignity of man, the betrayal of trust, the terror of the Secret Police and the bloody hand of the assassin, during and since, those fateful years when I embraced communism.

  7. I think JC Nichols would be pleased his name was removed from a city about to succumb to masochistic spasms. The Plaza is well on the way to financial disaster. The owners are trying to dump it. The buyers say "hell no!" Nordstroms cancels out the move there. Stores are closing. And, its problem of being entirely too close to the black side of town has finally become insurmountable.Blacks must be very proud.

  8. Good grief, they removed JC Nichols name from the fountain and street that runs through the Plaza that he built.

    The Plaza was the only iconic symbol of KC for decades and it is now ruined.

    Why is the Kansas City Star and KCUR continuing to dig up stuff on the deceased gentleman. You have already ruined his name by calling him a racist with no means to defend himself.

    The Red Star and KCUR folks must have no lifes or happiness continuing to dredge up the same old crap everyday in order to divide the races and America.

    The Marxist Democrat party and it's controlled media like CNN are so racist in that everything they view is through a prism of race in order to retain their African American voters. The have destroyed race relations in America and set any form of racial harmony back another generation. Truly sad.

  10. This are amazing comments. Instead of actually reading any of the well researched books that are being suggested, the morons on this site continue to spew their completely uneducated commentary on Nichols. Way to go, morons!
