Kansas City Remembers Rosa James

Not a lot of people know this but legendary local activist Ms. Rosa James was a regular reader of TKC and one of the very few members of Freedom, Inc. who was consistently nice to this basement blogger.

Check her social media outlets to see an outpouring of local sympathy and expressions of loss in tribute to this universally beloved Kansas City political matriarch.

This post doesn't even come close to a proper tribute but serves to start the well-deserved bigger & better KCMO civic memorials.

Ms. James was a legacy of the civil rights era who remained active until the very day of her passing.

She will ALWAYS be remembered as a tireless volunteer, a leader in local politics and one of the very best people who ever lived in Kansas City.
