Kansas City Mask Mandate Continues . . .

The reality and what local "journalists" are too afraid to mention is that national news basically makes this decision for all of us.

  1. masks save lives.

they're not political and they're not wimpy and they're not mind control.

    they're common sense.

    doctors wear them.

  2. Do doctors wear them outside?

Do they wear them driving their car around?

Do they wear them for a week without washing them?

Do they wear them with their nose sticking out?

Because as long as you FEEL good about everyone wearing them, that is all that really matters......

  3. ^^^No retard. Some of us..not you though...have common sense. We can’t help it if you’re a retard. Those of us with IQ’s above 40 and who didn’t vote for Trump, know how to wear a mask effectively. Learn it CHUD.

  6. QuikTrip seems to be on the obsessed masked Wuhan train, signs all over the fucking place and little blonde snowflakes lecturing on the use of a mask. I sent them feedback so should you

  7. Does this mean it is now possible to legally smoke weed in KCMO while wearing a mask?

  8. What we have been told by our enlightened masters in the media is that masks are mandatory unless you're a BLM rioter. We hear and obey!

  9. I am sure that the boy blunder's twitter feed erupted in adulation at the news. The real world will give him the middle finger. Not a single edict that has issued from his office is based upon the progress of the disease in Kansas City. It is based solely upon what other virtue signalling Democrats have been doing on the coasts. The boy blunder is incapable of evaluating immediate and local conditions and making recommendations based upon actual dangers his constituents actually might face.

  10. Why aren't people as fanatically crazed about social distancing as they are about masks?? It tell me there's something more going on then concern about "public health". It's either become some type of symbol of "obey" or an easily identifiable virtue signal

I regard masks as an I.Q. Test.

    Smart people wear a mask.

    Stupid people don't.

  12. And, of course, NO announcement can be made without a televised press conference.
    Wear masks!
    Don't wear masks.
Each and every day another ponderous self-important pronouncement from the city hall narcissist desperate for attention and adulation.
When does he begin focusing on actually governing the city?

  13. Byron, do folks have to wear masks where you're from. Where is that anyway? Do they let you comment on things there? (or anywhere else, for that matter) Why do you take such an interest in KC since you don't live anywhere near here? Help us out here.

I forgot to mention the crazy panicmongering by the press that absolutely cost lives and added to pointless hysteria. The lack of a calm and data-driven attitude still creates unnecessary misery.

  15. This is psychological warfare more than a serious pandemic.

  16. https://www.mhanet.com/mhaimages/COVID-19/dash/KC_COVID19_RegionalDashboard.pdf

Interesting 13 county report for our region.

I am shocked that with all the hysteria going on that on July 4th there are only 178 people hospitalized and 23 on ventilators in the 13 county area. Hospitals in the area have 79% of ventilators available and 39% ICU beds available.

With the death total being level and dropping it would seem that there are effective treatments and the hospital system seems to actually be in great shape.

Can't share this news with anyone, what would the media have to report on then......
