What has support of Trump cost and lost?

As Americans move closer to the November presidential election, this is a good time to review the benefits and costs of the overwhelming support that Donald J. Trump received in 2016 from people who identify as white evangelical Christians. One...

"There's also the reality that Trump's life shows contempt for the very values (family, honesty, compassion, generosity, etc.) for which evangelicals say they stand."

Evangelical Christians hold these values in contempt. Frank Schaeffer, a former evangelical insider, said in "Crazy for God" these people hate America and freedom. If you don't believe many evangelicals are vessels of hate, just read what that anti-abortion nutjob posts on TKC.

Can I get a little help with my new "Church of the Backyard Rock"?

Taking a cue from BMs, we are painting in HUGE letters, on the asphalt out front, "Sky Guy Blvd".

A go find me page would be nice. My first saint is Saint George Carlin. He is called the saint of gawd's mysterious ways.

As a Christian I cannot respect a man that has sex with a sex worker (stormy Daniels). And has done it before (Karen McDougal). That was cheating on his wife. And he lied about it. Christians are still sinners. But if someone goes out of his way to repeatedly sin - the Bible says the Holy Spirit is not in them. So Trump maybe "as much of a Christian" as Bid Laden was.

There would be alot of girls getting abortions this year - but they are not - as they were aborted themselves between years 1990 and 2000 themselves! So they do not exist!

Yes God allows it, and your disabled loved one born with handicaps, your affairs, your coke use, and YES even your pet rock you speak to. But someday God will judge you for it. What do you think will happen to you then?

Read the Beatitudes. It describes the traits of a true Christian. Jesus gave it to us so we can 100% identify fellow believers. Trump has not one of those many traits listed in the beatitudes. So by Christ's standards - Trump is not a Christian. He is not even religious. Fact check me on this!

I don't hear Joe Biden talking about God at all. He seems to be embarrassed to even use the name of the Lord. All humans are imperfect sinners, so I will vote for the man who believes in upholding laws, having strong borders, is proud of America and doesn't want to tax my paycheck in half so socialist wet dreams can come true.

Really, its what you believe AND what you do. So continuous sinning when you know better is judged just as harsh as sin that you are ignorant of. Who is really ignorant of sin ? All the resources have been there for thousands of years to find out what is sin. What is really an abomination to God is the attempt to call sin GOOD, and righteousness WICKED. This defines the current generation. So a President that says "do as I say, not as I do " is far less an evil than the prez who condones wickedness because they have no grasp of how it is defined. Trump I believe knows his lusts are sinful, but he despises the hypocrisies of all the celebs around that indulge in the same sins. Ignorance of Gods law is no excuse, and all the antiTrumpists use Gods law as a thorn in his side, while they deny that there is any such thing as " truth"

People are born with a God given conscience. They have NO excuse when they sin. Everyone knows right from wrong. God can't allow anyone with sin in his presence, or even near him as he is sinless. If Jesus met Trump in person he would tell him that he is a sinner on the way to hell as he refuses to repent. Trump gladly repeats his glaring sins of adultery. The Bible says no adulterer will enter the kingdom of heaven - that includes Trump. When Jesus met the holy Pharasees, who kept hundreds of old testament rituals, memorized the Bible, sacrificed and gave money to the church he told them they were going to hell. They were viewed as "the holiest people" on earth at that point by the general population. But NO REPENTANCE, you are a sinner headed for Hell. Based on Trump's adultery, he cannot go to heaven, unless you call Jesus a liar.

It not "what you believe". Its if you "believe the truth".

You can truly believe your a 1,000 man who will soon develop a cure for cancer, and a new smartphone better than Apple's. Its not true. Your belief is worthless.

Funny how people that switch the words "evil for good", and "good for evil" universally do not like the word PUNISHMENT. Because they know. With a church on every corner, every TV, churches on the internet - ignorance is now a guilty sentence.

Biden is a devout and practicing Catholic. He prays more on a single Sunday than Trump has in entire life.

As for evangelicals - just a case of fake corrupt immoral "Christians" supporting a fake corrupt immoral president.

^^^ You left out selfish, money-grubbing, and conmen in your description of both Evangelicals and Trump.

Trump "could" have given Melania herpes by having unprotected sex with Stormy Daniels in my opinion. She could be suffering horribly right now with it (in my opinion). Its not right that Trump had sex with a porn star and then later his wife. He is not acting like a Christian. I dont think he is

Yeah but Biden has had it with farm animals. Says he really likes goats.

He is praying he can find his brain but it’s not happening for him. It is lost for good as are Joe’s election chances.
