There's very little room for nuance in a hashtag. #defundpolice is no exception. But there is much to ponder once people get past the easy misconception that defunding means abolishing a police force overnight.

    Really good idea.
    Aim4Peace, Mothers in Charge, ad Hoc, and who knows how many others.
    The Jackson County COMBAT sales tax alone raises $20 million a year.
    But the cowardly KCMO elected would never have the guts to even think about taking that money from the grifters, insiders, and usual suspects.
    Which shows just how unserious they really are about all this.
    It's a big PR show and, at the end of the day, a lot of these marchers are going to be every bit as disappointed as the "free rent" crowd.
    Which, of course, will be an excuse to march, protest, and riot some more.
    A mindless pointless perpetual motion machine.
