We're tracking the curve of coronavirus cases and coronavirus-related deaths that have occurred in Missouri and Kansas.The data shows the total number of COVID-19 cases along with the number of COVID-19 cases per day.

ReplyDeleteWe have 2696 cases according to the state, of which about 1600 have come in the last 3 1/2 weeks. We had around 1100 five weeks ago and that number was the total for four months. The new 1600 cases comes after the riots started so.....

Who's included in the reported "CASES"?
False positive test results (the virus tests are notoriously inaccurate).
Positive results from those with no symptoms.
Positive results from those with minimal symptoms, managed at home.
The media won't concentrate on what really matters, hospitalizations and deaths, because those numbers clearly indicate that the coronavirus is NOT bad enough to justify mask mandates, economic shutdowns, and destroying our economy just to damage President Trump's reelection odds.

The general public interprets "cases" as "deaths". Panic ensues.

As of July 6th, Missouri is at 93% of expected deaths at this point. KS is at 95% (Country as a whole is 102%, an increase but within margin of error). As far as normalized death rates we have less than we should even including the great boogetyman. On the plus side, the ENTIRE COUNTRY has only experienced 6,483 flu deaths this year. That is a 91% reduction in flu deaths; wow. COVID deaths continue their downward projection on a week by week. The constant breathless reporting of total cases as presented above is completely and utterly meaningless.
