KANSAS CITY ACTIVISTS IMPOSE BAN ON KCTV5 FOLLOWING PROTEST COVERAGE!!!

𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝, 𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫, all for trying to protect his wife while she was violently attacked by Overland Park Police officers in full riot gear.
𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟒 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐦𝐚𝐧. 𝐇𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐣𝐚𝐢𝐥. Although it should not matter, this brother has no criminal record and has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐧 KCTV5 News Kansas City 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐧’𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐠𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭. Their reporting is incredibly irresponsible and endangers the livelihood of this man and his family. The use of this mugshot photo reinforces the hyper-criminalization of Black people, which has systemically been used to justify state violence against us. This irresponsible reporting feeds stereotypes and fears that fuel racist rhetoric. This is both wrong and disgusting!
