Federal authorities in KC dispute Barr's Operation Legend arrests claim

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of Missouri confirmed Thursday that Attorney General William Barr misspoke about the number of arrests recently made in Kansas City during a press conference a day earlier to announce the expansion of Operation Legend.

  1. The only answer is 1.

If there had been 200 arrests in the last 2 weeks, the local breaking news coverage of all the charges and full jails would still be on the air. It's not just a false claim, it's an absolutely ridiculously unbelievable one.

Yet another example of why you can't believe a single word from this administration. They are all pathological liars.

    1. But you believe news outlets?
Just put the gun in your mouth and swallow

    2. Seriously why does it all fall back to the administration? Wouldn’t it be the responsibility of the local
Courts to answer those questions or the local
      Jails?

  2. Typical Marxist media; disregard 107 homicides and lets rip the Trump Administration for trying to lower the murder rate in Kansas City.

Stupid, stupid, stupid Marxist Democrat Party logic.

  3. I really don’t care how many hood rats get arrested. It would be better if they were shot.

  4. I believe the news outlets will report what's in the official police blotters.

    In other words, the facts.

    It's 1.

Grip - deflections, whataboutisms, and weak insults does not make for an effective debate argument.

  5. I bet when Obama's staff misquoted a number, which I'm sure they did, it didn't make super-bold, huge size typeface headlines in the media channels for several days. Take a chill pill. Lowering the death count is the major story, but the media and the Democraps want anything to gloss that over. Trump wins in the independent voters' minds by trying to keep people from getting shot in the minority communities. A misquote from someone on his staff reading from material likely created by underlings doesn't make a blip in their minds.

  6. Maybe they should have asked someone in the Justice Department, rather than one of Trump's many Personal Lawyers!

In the "old days" (four years ago), the AG had something to do with Law Enforcement, but now is involved solely in the Re-election Campaign.

    1. Yeah, no. Eric Holder called himself Obama's 'wingman', and the two were hip deep in the many scandals of the Obama DOJ.

  7. Barr made a dumb mistake so since he was given the job by Trump they’re out to get him. When rapey joe makes his many daily screw ups it’s hidden away or down played by the media and the dimwits.

This was just a dumb mistake on his part, it’s not like he does this very often you know, like that other guy with the golden leg hairs!

  8. 7:16 you mean like that time eric holder tried to get an innocent cop murdered? That poor ex cop is still in hiding for the crap Barry and holder did to him but hey, they didn’t get involved in their own political party crap either huh?

I don’t have the energy to dig up the facts on the clintons either.

  9. Sleepy Joe Biden7/23/20, 7:53 PM

Between the 150 million Americans killed by gun violence since 2007 and the 120 million Americans killed by COVID-19 this year there are not even 200 people left in Kansas City. Someone is clearly lying to us.

  10. ^^^ lulz!

So sleepy joe thinks there’s only 60 million americans left! That’s funny right there!

  11. This wasn't a one off.

Barr misused redaction authority in deleting large chunks of the Mueller report to spare Trump embarrassment. Then he wrote a false summary of the contents. He interfered into Stone and Flynn trials and sentencing. He had the Justice Department abandon prosecutions without legal justification. He retaliated against Michael Cohen in revoking his early release. He lied about reasons US attorneys in NY were fired. He lied to Congress during his confirmation hearings. Career prosecutors are resigning from the department over his unethical behavior.

This wasn't just a mistake. He lies all the damn time.

    1. Maybe for timing purposes, Barr is keeping his powder dry by holding back on the the bigger charges like treason?

Meanwhile, Feds are positioning ground forces in major democratic cities. Related?

Probably not, but if so, this could become the biggest Fed power grab since the ICC.

If the election or polling doesn't go well, would Trump Justice Department drop the hammer on biden/clinton/obama with Burisma/epstein/clinton-server dirt? Criminal charges? Everyone knows there's there there.

Stay tuned, November surprises on the way.

  13. One minute the Criminal community bitches that they shouldn't be here. The next minute they bitch that the amount is way over inflated. Makes sense to you.

  14. I don’t care how many have yet to be arrested, I am glad they are here!

  15. 6:15, there's no such thing as whataboutism. Look up "tu quoque fallacy," then argue if you can that the comment in question is fallacious. That question will turn on whether the comment was intended to prove or disprove the point at issue. Now you try.
