About the plan

What is a regional transportation plan? Connected KC 2050, the Kansas City metro's regional transportation plan, serves as a blueprint for managing the region's transportation system. MARC's Board of Directors adopted the plan at its June 23, 2020, meeting. Required by the federal government, this plan identifies transportation improvements for the next 30 years.

"flow as freely as the rivers and streams that run through and define it." whata load of fluffy crap. MARC drives me nuts.

MARC is a bunch of unelected, tree hugging, busybodies.

If the plan's success depends on "smart decisions," it's in trouble.

I like our two rivers - an ample supply of water that shows no signs of going away unlike many metro areas located in the s.w. states.

Maybe go back to horseback and buggies. It'd be cheaper.

If the 2050 plan is going to have any relationship to the realities of the time, it needs to include lots of one-way streets and roads out of KCMO.
At the rate selfies Lucas is dismantling civil order and the folks in the hood are killing one another, there'll be lots of regular people who have had more than enough and will be looking for much safer and better governed places to live, work, and raise their families.
Poor decisions have consequences.
