Clay County health officials issue emergency order requiring face masks starting Sunday

Clay County, Missouri health officials are issuing an emergency order in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. Starting Sunday, July 19, face masks will be required in "all indoor areas of public accommodation" in Clay County. Health officials said those locations include but are not limited to grocery and retail stores, special events, public transit, and more.

  1. If it's such an emergency, why aren't they making it immediate instead of 4 days from now? Regardless, it's not even possible to enforce anyway.

  4. 6:49 - I don't know, maybe to allow all those idiots who have vehemently argued "I ain't wearin a mask" to go out and get a mask? Can you imagine the shitstorm if it was implemented immediately. There's probably going to be enough bitching about 4 days. Go find something else to be angry about.
