Activists Against Abuse Demand Accountability From New Missouri Bishop

Pope Francis recently appointed Bishop Mitchell Rozanski to lead St. Louis archdiocese here's a statement with a KC mention and followup regarding an ongoing debate, crisis and lingering problem . . .

Missouri's highest ranking Catholic bishop - whose promotion just became official this week in Rome - is being prodded by SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests.

Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski is replacing Archbishop Robert Carlson, who's retiring. SNAP wants the new archbishop to "read every file of every person accused of abuse in his archdiocese and ensure sure that each case is being or was handled properly."

The organization is also urging Rozanski to "make sure that the archdiocesan 'credibly accused abusers' list is complete," and "includes the most detail possible about every accused perpetrator, including headshots, current whereabouts, complete work histories with dates, as well as the dates when Catholic officials were first made aware of the allegations and what actions archdiocesan leaders took in response."

(All four of Missouri's Catholic bishops, including KC's James Johnston, have posted such lists on their websites. Names of offenders are also available at BishopAccountability.org.

  1. While they hide out the Perps/Pervs in a compound outside of St louis , and have for decades. Look it up and demand that the church ends this. They can go to prison just like any other child molester. BTW- their most looked up websites by the hid out group- PORN.

  3. Thats real gold on that roof. While the world starves, the catholic church buys gold for their roofs. How about just using fiberglas asphalt shingles and saving a few hundred thousand? Or just admitting you cannot do anything to work your way to heaven. Its all based on what God does (forgiveness), not what you do. The catholic church look like the path to heaven, but its the portal to hell.

  4. Not every group hides their Child molesters in a compound and are then except from prosecution . I think you missed the point while you made excuses for them. Urban the IV attacked them for this bullshit in the 1400's. Assholes like you justify it and are the reason that in 2020 we still have it. How does it feel to justify child molestation ? Speaks volumes for your actual morals.

  6. The gold leaf on the cupola of the cathedral in Kansas City, not St. Louis, was applied in 1960 when gold was $35 an ounce and because the existing copper was degrading. The Church does not go around buying gold for roofs. Then again, you are willing to lie about everything else so why not that too?

  7. Seems the church went around buying gold for its roofs in 1960. It didnt get there by itself. I am sure the labor cast was higher than $35 per square foot.
Many other materials are available. But gold. Really? What are the purposes of gold objects, diamonds, jewels, rare art work done by pagans that is hidden away in vatican city which has its own guard armed with beretta 9mm submachine guns that they each have? Greed, materialism, worldliness, pomp, pride, wealth - all the things Jesus despised. How many childer were raped under that gold leaf roof over the years?

  8. I know a blind-as-bat executive that paid the catholic church to "erase" his previous marriage so it was like it never happened. But I was there at the wedding and have pictures -it did happen. The church can't erase it. Blind, dumb and ignorant to think the church can turn back time. Right Bob?

  9. I pressed the Catholic priests very hard on doctrine - why someone has to do a series of good works, prayers, donations, confessions and communions just to get to purgatory, not even heaven. Then maybe in the future your family can pray you into heaven. The answer : They consider Christ's death on the cross to be his failure to save us, and so you have to do these traditions of the church to get to heaven. Oh really? A FAILURE? So Christ failed to give salvation, but I can succeed in "self salvation"? Really? I can work my way to heaven? Thats a pretty big insult to God. Sounds like something the pharasees said to Christ back in the day, and his response was "you are on your way to hell". Unless something has changed I doubt you can work your way to heaven, or even get to be the President of the company you work at, or even afford a new Mercedes. But you can get into heaven yourself? No way. The Catholic church is lying to you. Read what the Bible says about this.
