Two Lawsuits And Class-Action Threat Confront Kansas City VA Hospital

Here's the latest in the legal battle against an embattled hospital for the troops . . .

"On Thursday, attorney Rebecca Randles said two lawsuits have been filed against the hospital, and up to 75 lawsuits are possible, although she is seeking class action status. She said she and the civil rights organizations want an independent organization to conduct a thorough investigation of the hospital's operations."

Racial bias complaints continue at Kansas City VA Hospital

LIBERTY, Mo. (AP) - Several civil rights organizations said Thursday that they want to see significant changes at Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center after allegations resurfaced of racial discrimination and demeaning treatment of black employees.

Give me a fucking break. The whole hiring system within the federal government, especially the va is messed up. Doesn’t matter what color you are it depends on who you know. And really - if you are a minority, you are actually more likely to be one of the few promoted without being in the right clique just because they want to make sure they are portraying equality.

So what did we learn here folks??? Either you move up by being buddies with people in control and end up being a shitty employee because you don’t know shit OR you move up to keep things appearing equal and end up being a shitty employee because you don’t know shit. Racism isn’t the main problem, although I’m sure it occurs. It’s pretty much the good ole boy system & nothing changes because of it.

I wouldn't and can't have a pissed off nurse tending to my old man at appointment time so fix the problem with administration or whoever has the big mouth who doesn't think before he/she speaks.

Maybe, you should try working on that, instead of denying it exits, or blaming the lawyers representing the people who have been wronged.
