TKC MUST READ!!! KANSAS CITY CHAMBER HONCHO CHAMPIONS 'INCLUSIVE PROSPERITY' AND SOCIAL JUSTICE AMID #BLACKLIVESMATTER PROTESTS!!!

Joe Reardon is CEO of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. He's also the former Mayor of KCK and the leader of a longtime family of local power brokers. Here's a glimpse at his answer to recent civil unrest, rioting . . .

It's finally time for KC to address injustice and inequity

Money line . . .

"In recent years, the KC Chamber has added inclusive prosperity as one of its strategic priorities. By inclusive prosperity, I mean growth that creates new economic opportunities while ensuring equal access to those opportunities for all parts of society, particularly for the poor.

"But the kind of systemic change we need isn’t through a program from the chamber or any one particular organization. That is why over the last several months, the chamber has been collaborating with Kansas City Area Development Council and the Civic Council like never before. Other organizations and individuals must be involved, as well, because making systemic change is a communitywide effort. A movement. And it requires the participation and commitment of all of us, uniting in a common cause: social justice."

You decide . . .

  1. Injustice and inequity?? George Floyd was arrested and charged with murder what more do they want? BTW that cop did NOT kill him deliberately and stop accusing people of being racist I'm sick of it. This thing is way deeper than that it's way darker.

  2. The children have been put in charge because of their threats. Not a good example. They should all be jailed.

  3. Will the Chamber of Commerce support DEFUND?

  6. Is there a form press release that's approved online for companies to issue?

Sorry to be cynical, but I've seen this movie before.

  7. The Chamber should just do the only thing they think they know how to do.
Round up a whole bunch of money, give it to the usual suspects and fake nonprofits on the east side, and watch as it once AGAIN is turned into thin air.
Most of the Chamber clowns haven't been east of Troost after dark in decades.

  10. Chamber President Joe Reardon and past President Jim Heeter both pledged to make personal reparations toward the Black Lives Matter movement.

Reardon will donate his 2020 salary, while Heeter will sell his Mercedes. Both requested though that Black people stay out of their neighborhoods.

FAKE NEWS! They'll both actually pay only lip service to the controversy.

  11. How about ending corporate welfare and using those funds to end the earnings tax and lower property taxes for struggling black families. But instead they will keep their millions in tax breaks and with some highly publicized donations will give a few thousand to some black grifters.
