The Pitch Hopes To Explain What #BlackLivesMatter Wants

A philosophical consideration from these hipsters FAILS to even mention the local police review board and local control . . . This "alternative" mag is struggling to find writers who work for free or next to nothing and what they've come up with is content that might have the "correct" political bent but doesn't have any clue about what's happening in Kansas City as far as local government is concerned.

Protestors on the Plaza. // Photo by Scott Rohr Protests have now occurred in every state in this country and even in countries across the world. While some people will choose to focus on the "unnecessary" violence that a select few protestors are partaking in, there are legitimate desires and outcomes that protestors hope to achieve by peacefully protesting across...

  3. ^^^ All of it isn’t YT’s fault but... and this is a huge one - the economic inequality, police code of brute force against people of color, mostly Black Americans, and the constant harassment because Black people aren’t engaged in “black” things is 100% YT’s fault. All black people aren’t thugs, criminals, uneducated, unwed parents, irresponsible, broker, inept or violent. The truth is - because of most peoples inclination towards social norms, Black people are like everybody else. What else is YT’s fault is that media highlights a small minority of criminal types who happen to be Black, and use that as a means to stereotype each and every black person. That is all YT’s doing! 100% and you must atone for it. Being in denial is not how to deliver an apology. Acceptance, owning it and saying you’ll do better and then do it - that’s how you deliver an apology and mean it. Your actions speak louder than words.

    1. Yes, there are many black folks that are just like us, are productive, don’t kill each other, and don’t blame whites for all their problems, and are very good at pointing out the problems facing the black community. Things like single mothers, gangs, etc. Then liberals will proceed to call them ‘Uncle Tom’.

"They want no more police terror in their communities". Blacks don't have "communities" they have shitholes. Every majority Black square mile on the face of the Earth is a shithole."We want accountability". They want scapegoats for their ongoing failure as a race. Next week, they'll want something else. This (((reality show))) will soon lose steam and a new "cause" will take it's place.

  14. 5:13pm Your math is off? 13% of what population? 60% of how many murders. What number are you trying to calculate? Did you go to public school?

    1. I believe the post was in reference to the statistics that African Americans represent roughly 13% of the US population and commit roughly 60% of all reported homicides.

Many sociologists point to poverty as a possible cause of this statistic beyond simple race, but neverless, it is a problematic statistic for those who claim systemic racism is the root cause of issues faced by the African American race.

    2. Not poverty. The poorest whites of Appalachia have lower crime than the wealthiest blacks...hmmm go figure.
