Newsworthy bonus, a sign of support for a living wage AND maybe a reason for workers to stop CONSTANTLY talking trash about every customer in the building on their walkie talkies -- It's kinda rude, everybody can hear it and at least the Walmart workers have the common decency to do it in Spanish.

Target raises minimum wage to $15 an hour months before its deadline
Target said Wednesday it is raising its minimum wage to $15 per hour and will give all hourly employees a one-time bonus of $200. The $2 per hour raise will apply to employees at stores and distribution centers, beginning July 5. Target had temporarily raised its wages by $2 an hour in March as coronavirus cases rose.

ReplyDeleteDST Systems Inc used to pay Rockhurst grads $5.50 per hour in the late 1980's. And they paid nothing for overtime. So $15 hour is great.
