T-MOBILE NOW SILENT ON 'SECOND HEADQUARTERS' & SPRINT CAMPUS FATE!!!

The telcom giant has already started layoffs, has backed of hiring promises and now the fate over Overland Park workers is in serious doubt.

The latest:

KC Biz Journal: T-Mobile seeks to renege on jobs, 5G goals tied to Sprint merger

"At the time of the merger, Seattle-based T-Mobile said it would have a “second headquarters” in Kansas City but has not elaborated any plans for that."

KICK-ASS TKC READERS advise locals not to hold their breath waiting for clarity from this corporation.

  1. There is no reason for T-Mobile investors to maintain a second headquarters. This was a purchase of Sprint, not a merger as it was characterized. The KC area has a bad reputation for supporting successful businesses. KC is a diminishing community with not a healthy future. Good by Sprint. Good by Kansas City.

  2. I knew people at Sprint that disappeared off their jobs and went to the AMC theatres in Town Center to watch Star Wars when it came out again, longstreet. Whats the maturity level of someone like that? Then some others are not promoted, so they hired a minority attorney to threaten Sprint, even though they are white themselves! Then they take a buyout and complain they cannot go back to Sprint. Others sit at home in their underwear to do the bear minimum "work from home" job. Too lazy to go into the office and really tackle some goals. Losers!

  4. The people I knew at Sprint worked hard and spent long hours to try to challenge the rich bullies on the block with all the lobbyists on their side -- Verizon and AT&T. That's why it took so long for the government to agree to let T-Mobile acquire Sprint. Layoffs happen at all companies that go through this process because of redundancies and unprofitable parts of the business.

  5. Dude @ 12:29 REALLY------Sprint wanted to merge with Bernie Ebber's firm - Worldcom which was a bigger fraud than Enron! Sprint is stupid! Only the regulators prevented that merger and if it happened Sprint would have been closed decades ago and all pensions lost! The campus would have been sold. Not a single mention of Sprint except in business class when failed firms are discussed. Then Bill Esrey wanted ION. But who owned the copper lines from the pole to the house? ATT owned it and was not going to lend it to a competitor! What was Esrey thinking? Now he in in Japan, as he is tall, he impresses his telecom coworkers there. He is a joke in the industry! Sprint is filled with prima donna old women who are ugly and cant work anywhere else. Some work from home in their undies. Softbank is sorry it every got involved with Sprint. Sprint's name should have been "Stunt". As its a joke. The h-1 contractors at Skylar Ridge Apts will be leaving soon to go back home. Old women working from home will be fired. Where is a designer of Sprint now? She didnt last long. Natural prairie grass? Really dude are you out of your mind????

  6. ^^^Lemme guess, you got laid off back in the day and are still bitter?

And a good chunk of what you wrote is a hodge podge of bullshit spewed by someone who hasn't the slightest clue what they're talking about.

  7. No I left Sprint for a better job. I do remember a consultant, phone interviewed and accepted by a manager. After he was on the job for a week, and doing well, the manager called his vendor complaining that he never showed up for work. So the vendor had Tim walk across the room and speak with the manager. She said, "oh I didnt know who you were". Thats the stupidity at Sprint. ION, merger with Worldcom, work from home lazys, dropped calls, the guy touring the Sprint campus before it opened with Esrey had a heart attack and nobody could get a signal on their Sprint phones. The markets people, layers of them, so many that did nothing but attend meetings and conference calls. Sprint was and is, a joke. Wall Street has spoken. In 2000 the stock was at $70, then recent was a $3.00. That settles the question of Sprint's value. And it was overpriced at $3.00

  8. Sprint was filled with lazy overpaid people

  9. I worked at Sprint. They staff worked about 1/2 the usual load of a white collar office worker. But were paid 10 to 25% more than the average local office worker. Many hours wasted on meetings. It was a highly wasteful firm. Had no vision. Each of its top brass couldnt make it work. At 5pm, people SPRINTED for the door. Thus the name Sprint. Lots of hot women there, many were in their 20s and 30s and very horney. It was kind of a meat market for any decent looking guy (non-programmer).
